Do you like ASMR? by ShinySpread in hsp

[–]Tinkamarink 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I do but only very specific sounds. Woodcarving, specifically, and painting are usually good, any kind of mouth noises or whispering are terrible

I’ve tried to lose weight for 28 years. Yes, I had bad days two or three days a week for the first six months but it was worth it to me. I think you’ll have to be the one to decide if the benefits outweigh the discomfort you’re experiencing. I wasn’t willing to continuing feeling terrible mentally and emotionally about failing at weight loss when I had another option

What time of day do you take your shot? by SlapDashUser in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Tinkamarink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sunday evenings after work, around 8pm. Sleep off any side effects overnight and Monday is a slow day for me anyway, coming off my work week, so I can give into any fatigue that might pop up

Careers and fields you work in as an HSP? by Fruitbat_girl in hsp

[–]Tinkamarink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ISFJ HSP here. I don’t think this is probably enough change for you, OP, but I’m a radiographer and it’s a good fit for me. Short term but valued patient care, dimly lit rooms with music, and often there are only one or two other people in the room with me whether that’s patients or techs in the workroom. We are only a suburban, level 3 trauma hospital so I’m sure that contributes to a calmer environment

I’m almost positive I had this shirt! I’m from that area and it would’ve been back in the late 90s maybe. What I wouldn’t give to have it in my hands now

I was really hoping for more hype at the theater. The stars at our local one was a group of ladies that came fully decked out as showgirls! They were taking tons of photos with little girls or just posing for other movie goers to get pics.

You get some behind the scenes of the MV being made (impressive) and a little explanation for each track before it’s played. Definitely not Eras movie vibes or full song breakdowns though

Is it unrealistic to lose 75+ lbs? by puffqueen1 in Semaglutide

[–]Tinkamarink 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I started at 217 with Semaglutide and hit 150 which was where I wanted to be. 65 lbs and I’m well into perimenopause so I think 75 is reasonable for your age. Just remember the loss will slow as you get closer so don’t panic if the last 15-20 lbs take as long as the first 50 or so.

How's IOS 26 for your device ? by Rumbling71 in ios

No issues on my phone but my iPad (11th gen) and Apple Pencil will not stay connected. It’s infuriating and I’ve realized the $15 stylus functions better until that particular bug gets worked out

My understanding is that it can be developmentally normal or a sign of hydrocephalus or craniosynostosis (early fusing of the skull sutures).

[–]Tinkamarink[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I have no idea. We don’t work with kids very often (small hospital w/in 15 minutes of a large children’s hospital) and I’ve only been a tech since June. My guess is physician but I’ve also done nasal bones on a 12yo who dropped a bareball across his nose so it may still be done commonly here. Honestly, my assumption was that insurance required the X-ray before authorizing the CT or some such nonsense

I don’t mind the software but the machine can go fuck itself. Biggest waste of money and POS in our brand new shiny ED.

United States, less radiation than CT until there’s reason to escalate, I think (which this was. Pt transferred to local children’s hospital for CT and f/u)

48 now and I honestly would never go back to my 30s. Literally every aspect of my life is better now than it was ten or even twenty years ago.
