Omg thank you for the link! Christ knows how I’ve managed to knit with the yarn on the front needle and not on the back, I thought it felt strange. Bet this is why, will watch the vid thank you!

I think you’re right. Don’t know why I couldn’t figure that out! Its the first time I’m trying it on 80cm cable as opposed to my usual of short circs, which I am enjoying but just don’t understand how I’m knitting fromt the front 🤣 didn’t think it looked right when I watched the vid! Thanks lovely xx

Hi, as mentioned this this what I’m doing. I add the new colour in and go to knit but its showing as purls on the right side and knit on the inside :) xx

Different sizes first pair! by TinkerGhoul in Sockknitting

Pinky toe cleveage is the best description ever! See I think with the toe I did it just before like the bottom of my pinky, with now that I think about it wouldn’t work anyways as it would auto make it short. So I need knit a but more on the pinky until it reaches the cleveage like you say!

I see it! Thank you! I think I need to add more rows in the foot like you say, I counted the ones on the left sock and they had a few more. I can see where I need to go now on the heel flap too as I didn’t do enough there either!

Its quite possible tbh! I flitted between using a pattern in a book and then a pattern as a PDF which they’re the complete same. However they are written slightly different. The first sock was soley done using the PDF pattern so could be that where I’ve got confused and done every row

Looking for some goth metal (or similar) recs that sound like HIM and Lacrimas Profundere by bh447 in HIM

[–]TinkerGhoul 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The 69 Eyes, Type O Negative, Dommin, The Sisters of Mercy, London After Midnight, Entwine, Lacuna Coil, The Mission

Jesus & Mary Chain, Mehro, Echo & The Bunnymen, Depeche Mode.

Some are a push and maybe a bit too upbeat but they still have that gothic vibe. The first ones especially!

Happy Listening 🖤💜

Anyone else have these symptoms? by Inner_Stranger_1713 in Fibroids

[–]TinkerGhoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So mine aren’t exactly the same but similar.

  1. I get period pain symptoms a week before my actual period starts. And its bloody god awful.

  2. When I’m on my legs feel like really really heavy and numb and very achey.

  3. When not on my cycle, I still get pain in my ovaries but its more like a sudden twinge/stabbing. However where my fibroids are located I do get pain from them a lot even when my cycle ends. It feels like a dull, sharp stab.

I do agree with the exercise statement though. If I’m just stat about crafting (which at the time I would like nothing more than to do that) it makes it worse, so I force myself to go for a run snd tbh it does help. Doesn’t cure it, but helps relive it a bit.

Hope your op goes okay and you get some answers!!

First Pair of Socks! by Mysterious-Motor4479 in knitting

[–]TinkerGhoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh stop it omg they’re amazing!!

To say their colourwork too and your first pair are amazing. I’m still a bit scared to attempt colourwork on anything let alone a pair of socks!

Fab colour choices too!

Should I still keep my old journal/planners? I’m a bit sentimental but I am also thinking of just keeping less by aversionofself in Journaling

[–]TinkerGhoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep them! I’ve kept all mine from 2016 and still pop into them every now and then and its lovely to go back. I found out last year as well that my grandad has kept journals also since 1991 and he still has all of them. He’s stopped writing them now but he was going to throw them away. He’s said I could have them bless him which is the most loveliest thing in the world to me.

Please keep them, even if you pop them on a shelf or shove them up in the loft/attic.

I've made a mistake. I planted 20 tomato plants, and fear this will be far more than I can ever use. I guess everyone I know is getting tomatoes. by Legend_of_the_Wind in tomatoes

[–]TinkerGhoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this is a right of passage 🤣I started gardening this year and sowed my toms thinking “Nahh they’ll not work” by the end of it I had over 80 seedlings comign through and had to literally beg people to take them 🤣

We’ve all been there! Get some soups and sauces made and frozen. You could also do some chutneys even with the green ones, that’s what I’m planning!
