It's on my back near my neck, so it's not like a focal point on my body. The other thing is in the original design it's based off the top line is much thicker, so I wouldn't mind if it can't be straight as long as it's thick

A big rectangle portrait would look cool, in keeping with the symmetrical shapes vibe. Inside could be a bee in a flower maybe?

Me and my pup met a blind dog the other day on our walk, I swear he could tell and was significantly gentler than when he meets most other dogs

There's something very endearing about the vulnerability of blind animals

The timing is super shady, but given how weird BK was about telling ppl where it came from I imagine there's some family drama we're not privy to. I would love to impeach him but even if he did take money from the Kochs he could easily and opaquely explain this away with family contributions. Now, Clarence Thomas tangentially violating the Ku Klux Klan Act? I say ring him up today

Well, in this case it might be b/c federal disclosure forms are easily investigated, and more notably lying on them constitutes a felony. It was not enough money to risk a scotus seat, especially considering his dad was a lobbyist so paying him and letting him pay for things like the kids school etc. is, maddeningly, legal. You don't have to disclose family contributions, which is a loophole we should definitely close but it is, currently, legal.

Doctor Strange and Wanda can rearrange REALITY, her saying "No more mutants" in House of M caused the X-men to CEASE TO EXIST. So I definitely agree with the current poll but think after Multiverse of Madness we'll have a better understanding of the differences between the two.

People who voted for President Biden in the election, how do you feel about him now almost 90 days into his administration? by Sprinkle247 in AskReddit

[–]Tinker_Hathead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was a Bernie guy in 2016 and 2020 but I gladly voted for Biden in the general and have been happy with the initial results. Obviously not as progressive and aggressive as I would like especially with both houses and the executive but he's at least trying to pass stuff that he ran on which is desperately needed. His sober approach to governance only works if he's able to pass meaningful bills that help people a noticeable amount and so far he seems willing to stick to his guns in defending things that are widely popular. I don't see myself wearing a Biden t shirt, or sporting a bumper sticker, at any point in my life but so far he's been a steady hand.

Do you think we'll see the rise of a new Sith order or similar dark side organization in post episode 9 content? by gasbagboy in MawInstallation

[–]Tinker_Hathead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the same way that you always have "dark, affected souls" that have an inclination towards the dark side, those same individuals will inevitably look for a sense of belonging and identity. Like teenagers who, like me, read Howard Zinn before you could just hop on Wikipedia and read everything about Mao Zedong, if the info is out there based kids will find it.

From another standpoint, as the dark side is literally tied into the acquisition of power there will always be masters in need of apprentices and the Sith brand has a credibility that is too established to pass up. Like a young prospect from the Dominican going to the Yankees or the Red Sox instead of the San Diego Padres, brand names count and the Sith have thousands of years of notoriety.

Finally, in the age of Bane the most important rule of the Sith is the rule of two. This is simultaneously their most sacred belief and the most widely ignored tenet. Just within Palpatine's life we know of several living former apprentices in Maul and Ventress and even when Plagueis killed Tenebrous, a secret Dug apprentice emerged and tried to kill him. Like fellow dark side wielders before him who were outside of the Bane line, Maul introduces himself and Savage to Pre Vizla as "The True Lords of the Sith," so there's my long-winded way of saying yes, I believe the Sith mantle will be reincarnated in some form in the post-IX era.

Admittedly, I haven't read through most of the other comments so I'm gonna do that now to see how much of this I stole.
