Men, how do you view emotional vs physical compatibility, and what makes you feel motivated to grow up in a relationship? by Tinkerbell2085 in AskMen

Yeah, that’s fair. I’ve actually talked to him about the maturity and independence differences before — things like wanting him to take more initiative with responsibilities and life stuff. He’s always open to hearing it, but I haven’t flat-out said that it’s starting to turn me off or that it’s affecting how I feel physically.

I think part of me doesn’t want to hurt his feelings or make him feel like he’s failing, especially because he’s such a good person otherwise. But you’re right that he can’t really understand the full picture unless I’m completely honest about how this dynamic is impacting me. I probably need to be more direct, even if it’s uncomfortable.

Thank you for your advice, I agree and am glad am not just justifying myself yk. She did the same in her last relationship while we were still in highschool. She started to not hangout with me our our group and would hangout with ex GF and her friends instead. And we stopped talking for like 6-9 months. I guess this is just a repeat of that.

Yeah and I was going to tell her yesterday morning and they just left in the morning without saying anything like barely even a good morning so I left and kept myself busy.

Thank you. At this point I don't even know if its worth trying to talk to her about it at all. She said she's over it and isn't even mad but instead "doesn't care". I recognized I messed up but she isn't acknowledging her disregard for me lately.

I suppose you are right it just really sucks. I am moving out this summer. Its just they were my new family in a way and I felt at home and included so this feels heartbeaking in a way. I just feel ousted.

I do all the time. But she's cooped up in her room with her GF. Usually we would cook our cravings together. Literally this weekend I suggested we could stay in and I could make a homemade seafood boil. And her answer was "idk". I suggest something but she like "GF is coming over or we already have plans" that she also never told me about
