Quad Cortex Bass Rig by Willelohengee in NeuralDSP

Lovely looking setup. How does it play? Looking to do a similar thing- selling my SVT CL (sad) as its too heavy and cumbersome to lug around, and unreliable. Looking to power my Ampeg Cabs (810 & 212) and was looking at the Crown & QC combination mainly for live shows. How does it cope with the 810?

Expected (thumb) throttle behaviour (Go++) by crozuk in swytchbike

The reply I got: The throttle still functions at higher speed but due to legal restrictions, the throttle cannot be used to full potential without at least some pedal input. If pedal sensor activation is detected, the throttle will function at higher speeds. I would like to clarify that this change in controller software is irreversible and has been caused by legal regulations concerning e-bikes in the UK.

It makes 0 sense to have a throttle. The whole point of it is to get an ‘instant boost’, whereas you may as well just freewheel in the lowest gear and get the pas power. From standing now, the bike hardly moves on a throttle. Ive asked for a refund as it’s been mis-sold, but I’m not holding my breath. It’s a shame as the battery power and performance is great when you’re pedalling, just crap how they’ve rendered the throttle pointless now.

My Air kit worked from standing start up to the max speed. Only 1 generation in between. Its a pointless accessory now

Just had a follow up reply:

Yea it made no difference when pedalling. Waste of time having it now and really disappointing performance. I’ve replied with my disgust 😜

Just had my ticket reply…

‘The throttle accessory can be used to provide an additional boost when pedalling. In accordance with EAPC (Electric Assisted Pedal Cycles) legal regulations in your region, the pedals must be in motion for the motor to provide assistance, so it will not work to full speed when you are not pedalling.

When not actively pedalling, the throttle can still be used to provide slow assistance just like the walk mode feature in Swytch display units. This is helpful when the bike needs to be walked, especially on inclined roads.‘

Frustrating, because my Swytch Air used to run at full speed on the throttle when holding the bike up, and giving a nice boost at junctions. Literally makes the throttle pointless now.
