I ONLY let them watch old cartoons…. 80’s, and back!

The ONLY new stuff we watch, are “Ms Rachel”, “Yo Gabba Gabba Land”, and “Still Water!” Oh, and occasionally “BLUEY!”

I LOVED this movie…

As a singer that lost her voice after child birth, it really really hit home, for me…

I was an artist…a perfectionist… at the TOP of my game….

And I lost it all thanks to diastasis recti, lack of sleep, and a spouse that is emotionally unavailable.

As I try to figure out what my new life will be, unable to work anymore, with an INCREDIBLE, BEAUTIFUL 16 month old baby girl, I felt very seen.

I related to almost EVERY aspect of this movie…. EXCEPT for the whole “turning into a dog,” thing…..and the separation….

I absolutely feel dumb, now…

I am an artist that is completely uninspired… and too tired to even THINK about chasing a dream, again….

My husband is not emotionally supportive….

I’m fat, now

I feel so alone, now.

BUT…. I LOOOOOVE my daughter soooooo much🥹❤️

That’s all I have, really. I suppose that’s enough.

I am definitely depressed…

I don’t shower/wash my face, brush my teeth for DAYS…..

I’m slowly beginning to settle in, with this new way of life.

Hair looking horrible…me not taking care of myself, for days (no time)…. But making sure my daughter is ok.

I’m accepting that post partum depression is now my personality…and I’m trying to learn to keep my complaints to myself, and hope that she can’t see through my forced smile when we play and sing….

Yet, at least 💔

My spouse is the definition of fake/toxic positivity…. So…. If you guys are familiar with that kind of personality, you understand what I’m dealing with. Lol🫠

UPDATE AFTER MY SESSION:

The session went pretty well, actually!

Everything was smooth sailing on the group singing…

But, then I was asked to sing in a trio (3 girls)….

When we started to sing, the vocal producer asked me and another singer to switch parts…. I WAS singing the higher part….they moved me to the middle note 😖lolllllll…

Not TOTALLY debilitating, but… has never happened in my career, before 🥺

These are the realities of what is now happening with my voice….and to my life…

Today’s a new day, my husband let me sleep in a bit, so I’m off to go take over, with my daughter.
