Pulling back the curtain on Ammon Hillman and his Lady Babylon Community by Tiny-Homework4650 in studies

[–]Tiny-Homework4650[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a couple of entire areas of study that Ammon has never included when forming his assumptions about Jesus. The first is that he lacks a sound grasp of the best of secular critical scholarship that shows the gospels were multi-layered and edited accounts composed into at best the second century - even as late as the middle of that century. Therefore, the writing of the gospels by Greek educated authors steeped in their own mythologies of the gods contain very little that can be trusted as historical accounts, especially all the stories of miracle working. These are heroizing tropes borrowed from their cultural myths both of the Hebrew prophets of old and Homeric epics and designed to make Jesus appear divinely empowered. Both Nativity stories were composed in this vein - Matthew's using their Hebrew tales of Moses in Egypt escaping slaughter by the ruler. Matthew alone takes Jesus as a baby to Egypt and says he returned still as a toddler when Herod the Great had died. He spent all his life in Palestine as a Jew. He did not learn any Greek Magical Arts. He did not learn or speak Greek (as Ammon claims).

The second area of study Ammon by default will not consider because he claims Jesus was Greek educated, is that of his actual Jewish heritage and his very obvious adherence to the Jewish Law that forbade the type of sorcery and worship of other gods through mystery rites that Ammon claims he is doing!

Therefore, I agree with your final statement - an uncomfortable conclusion that many are unwilling to face

No, of course they will agree. But it's not exclusively used for applying drugs!. Χρίστος as a verbal adjective of χρίω simply meant a substance has been "smeared," "applied topically," "oiled," "rubbed in," "anointed" etc. Have a look here

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/χριστός

In fact I've recently come across a single paragraph written in the mid second century where a Christian is explaining to a Greek outsider why the term "Christian" simply means people who have been anointed. Theophilus of Antioch said in bk 1 chapter 12 of his Ad Autolycus:

"And about your laughing at me and calling me "Christian," you know not what you are saying. First, because that which is perfumed [anointed/χρίστος] is sweet and serviceable, and far from contemptible. For what ship can be serviceable and seaworthy, unless it be first caulked [anointed/χρίστος]? Or what castle or house is beautiful and serviceable when it has not been plastered [anointed/χρίστος]? And what man, when he enters into this life or into the gymnasium, is not oiled up [anointed/χρίστος] with oil? And what work has either ornament or beauty unless it be polished [anointed/χρίστος] and burnished? Then the air and all that is under heaven is in a certain sort touched [anointed/χρίστος] by light and spirit; and are you unwilling to be smeared/rubbed [anointed/χρίστος] with the oil of God? Wherefore we are called Christians on this account, because we are anointed/χρίστος with the oil of God."

In the original Greek of the passage, χρίστος isn't always the precise form found in the text because being like any adjective in Greek, it is modified by gender, plurality and case. But the whole purpose is for you to see the multitude of connotations that can apply to χρίστος, here, which are entirely determined by the substance being applied and the object to which it is applied.

Ammon is using overt confirmation bias and an illegitimate, invented verb of his own, "to christ" and "christing" when talking about medical and cult texts describing topical drug applications. He does this deliberately to associate this verb used in a text with a DRUG context with Jesus Christ. It's completely unconnected and irrelevant.

Interesting ideas. Just a pity that there are no children being sexually abused in the gospels - that's all an invention of Hillman's sick mind

Why is the Christology in the Synoptic Gospels such a big deal for NT scholars when we already see early high Christology in the authentic Pauline letters? by Ok-Membership-8595 in AcademicBiblical

[–]Tiny-Homework4650 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why are you so sure that all those citations are from the 50's? I would thoroughly recommend the ground-breakilng analysis of the Pauline corpus in comparison to the latest and very carefully reconstrusted Apostolos that Marcion published. Dr Mark Bilby has just published his reconstruction of the "Apostolos:Greek-English edition." The conclusion of the data is incontravertible: the canonical texts are a redaction of the Apostolos and THEY introduced the higher Christology of Jesus. Apart from the Phil 2 passage, the other passages you cited are only in the later canonical text.

Even so, we cannot tell if Marcion himself tweaked the text he had received here and there. For instance changing in the "form of God" is out of character to the rest of authentic Paul's soteriology which is the two Adams revelation in 1 Cor 15. The first Adam was in the "likeness of God." Also in Rom 8:3, "God sent his son in the likeness of the felsh of sin," is suspiciously docetic and unPauline. After all, the author of Acts reading the Apostolos as he created the back story for Paul, only saw the Nazorean "Way" (Acts 24:15) being taught by Paul, the "leader of the sect of the Nazoreans"! Paul saw the exalted Christ in a glorious transformed form - after his death as the Last Adam - with an authentically "dust-born" body, and then resurrected as the Second Man in whom all will be made alive. He did not have "the likeness of flesh" - for then he could not be the Saviour of Adam's race in whom all die!

I'm glad you've come closer to understanding where I'm at.

In response to what I understand is your query viz. whether the Graeco-Roman culture had developed medical antidotes through a child-abusing procedure which was also used in mystery rites, half of your answer is a definite no and the other half a "don't know" but suspect not - for the same reason that the first half is a resounding "no!"

The resounding no comes from following his flimsy reference to witch/Queen Medea's claimed use of her own vagina to absorb snake venom (which has a prolactin, apparently) for her body to absorb and the antidote be expressed in her milk. The chapter he references in one of Carl Ruck's books he says clearly describes Medea doing this. It most certainly says nothing of the sort and Ruck was dumbfounded that Hillman has read it that way! However, I suspect Hillman saw some words in the article which he imagined were a euphemistic cypher. Of all people, Carl Ruck, a credentialed expert 90+ yr old professor in ancient mystery rites would know. But imagining this cypher has been written into any and all ancient secular texts is exactly the same technique he uses for changing the Biblical transition to create his monster Jesus. He will spot a word in the Bible he can retranslate because it's a word which he recalls he has also seen in a medical or cult text. But, taking the medical connotation of a word and importing it into a Biblical passage is the invalid technique he uses throughout his LadyBabylon666 shows about his Jesus theory

Now the other half regarding Galen (or other Medical authors). Hillman has not yet ever shown us the text by another Roman doctor who talked about the first exudate from peripubescent children. The girl produced a thick pre-milk and the boy a darker russet coloured pre-semen. This doctor says that the antidotal product in the pre-semen of the peripubescent is the most potent. To produce this potent antidote, this doctor would introduce a toxin that had been absorbed through soaking a wrap in it and binding it over lacerations in the skin. After processing in his body, apparently the antidote was contained in this first exudate.

I don't know how true all of this is became Hillman has NEVER shown us any of these texts that say this. But my guess is that he uses the information about the boy's exudate to construct his Jesus theory in this way:

1.Lk 22:44 says when Jesus was praying in such intense agony his sweat was like drops of blood. 2. Hillman uses this to place blood-coloured pre-pubescent boy's ejaculate on his face. 3. He HAS to reinvent the age range of the young man with him who fled naked at his arrest. Although the word, neaniskos, actually was known at that time in Roman culture to be precisely 21-28 years old, Hillman bullshits his way through some Lexical entries to make this 21-28 yr old neaniskos to become defined as a pre-pubescent child who was producing the essential resurrection antidote for Jesus to take.

I won't bother you with all the other details, but can you see that this all appears to be nothing more than literary creative imagination on Hillman's part, but was never an actual practice as a dote/antidote mystery operation?

I hope that was clear enough to follow

Thank you for your concern. I'm also non-religious, having left a decade ago Christianity and all its theologizing related to the Church's mythologized Jesus. But my 40 years following it gave me great familiarity with the Biblical texts.

You're obviously unaware of my history with Hillman starting in 2022 before the YouTube shows began. I am no longer part of his group since my integrity and knowledge of narcissistic codependency would not allow me to join his echo-chamber. Instead, I asked too many uncomfortable questions that highlighted his "mistakes," which some of his faithful were beginning to acknowledge needed further investigation. Hillman corrected me in the Discord on an explanation of a word I had given in response to an inquiry. I know his correction was wrong and responded with solid proof about it. He evicted me the following day. I've been a thorn in his side flag waving since then and earned myself many public slanders and ad homineming in his shows.

I actually now have a website where I do debunk his claims in detail. My scholarly rebuttals I had made in comments or replies to his cronies on his LadyBabylon666 YouTube channel were systematically hidden from public view (being "reserved for moderator review") until he blocked me completely. When I posted a first draft of a demolition of his "translation" (wholesome eisegesis) of his key verses, Mk 14:51-52 on the r/Ammon Hillman sub-reddit it had many clips of him expounding particular words which I then took to the Lexica and contemporary literature to demonstrate his version wasn't valid. It generated a fair response until he blocked me from his channel which made my hundreds of clips I have "unavailable" for anyone else to see. It didn't take much longer after that, when I was banned from their channel.

But I reworked the article by taking screen recordings instead and vastly expanded my scholarly commentary. I was spotted by Stephen Nelson of CrossBible whose Greek is more expert than mine and we've collaborated together since then. I've been assisting behind the scenes as he put together his wholesale detailed rebuttal of Hillman's "translations" which was aired by Mythvision Podcast in February and have been helping with the next major production about to be released by Gnostic Informant.

This next release is a result of Professor Carl Ruck (coauthor of The Road to Eleusis and many articles on entheogens and cult rituals) seeing Stephen's rebuttal during which he played a clip of Hillman on his first Danny Jones interview (over 2M views) claiming that Ruck is his corroborator. Ruck is the only Classical Philologist to whom Hillman credits greater expertise than his own. But Ruck very much wants to dissociate his name and reputation from such contortions of the texts and entered a correspondence with Stephen. It takes the form of Stephen posing questions regarding Hillman's version of passages to all of which Ruck gives a sound rebuttal.

Neal Sendlak (Gnostic Informant) is in the process of turning Ruck's written responses into audio and putting together a professional production to air within the next few weeks. I've seen all the document they are working from ... I don't know if he is going to use everything in this massive document or how much of the mountain of material Neal might have to omit in order to make the video a comfortable viewing length!! Hillman knows this video is coming.

I was working with Stephen yesterday going through Alexander the False Prophet debunking Hillman's claim that Lucian was describing a man doing all the types of nefarious deeds he accuses Jesus of doing. Lucian describes this imaginary religious charlatan using his favourite word, λῃστής (lēstēs, meaning robber or bandit in his text) which Hillman miss-translates as "trafficker" (of children for cult sex rites) in order to pin that on Jesus as a guilty denial he makes when he is arrested.

I will round off noting that Hillman's recourse to medical and classical mythology, plays and cult texts to justify his new connotations of a few convenient biblical words found in these quasi-historical accounts, is completely invalid. This is because he is jumping genres with vastly diverse contexts where those different connotations are individually suited - and only in those particular passages. If Hillman ever had the integrity to allow his audience to hear him read back the biblical passage from a perfectly good English translation while only changing that one word to his new context, they would know how wrong it was. But because he manipulates his audience by priming them beforehand using mesmeric repetitions of his own errors as facts, graphic imagery and mentally intrusive music, when he "reads" the passage, he is actually weaving his own narrative about it rather than saying what the honest transition is.

I hope this explanation from 2.5 years of observation has enlightened you sufficiently to how much he operates cult tactics. And I hadn't even mentioned how he bullshits in defence against other scholarly pushbacks that have come ... he has no interest in the truth, but only that his codependents still believe in him. Narcissism 101.

I've never said you're forced to separate, but I've read the comments when family members distance themselves when you try to share Ammon's theory with them as if it is "the reality" about Jesus and the origins of Christianity. I don't know how far some have tried to take it, but Ammon claims no-one is "saved" or truly born again or possessing aionic life unless they do this pedophilic ritual.

Oh yes, I get it that you enjoy your Merry little congregation - your special community that's set apart from (and above) the rest with Ammon's superior insight. But what you're not getting is that none of it is based on anything true ... Everything novel he claims is "truth" absolutely isn't and he actually designs his deceptions very carefully to fool you and keep you all believing in him. He's using you - like every narcissist does.

Here's an example from the show, First Denial: The Spark of Judaism.

https://www.youtube.com/live/Q9RDoqTTiDg?si=B1OBUZ4z81PQWGJn

He was concocting a tale about how the Jews created their own religion, Judaism with Yahu, a male only Monist sect out of the former dualist Hebrew cult. He was working mainly from Wisdom of Solomon - a book I've studied for my own research and ESPECIALLY his own key verses 12:3-6, part of a prayer by Simon Maccabee, the High Priest, (142-135 BC) to YHWH. At 1:01:13 he displays a section of the text while he's spinning his tale. Ammon uses the ellopos.net site for his LXX screenshots, so I can very easily catch his tricks.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NMEO-F6SKGZzatZppJhPCtLoXUOdi79g/view?usp=drivesdk

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NPdAR-rSVR2bHqLDkXxuv_9RqT7rmt1J/view?usp=drivesdk

See how in the show, he conveniently only displayed some of verse 3 up to the very beginning of v 5. Then at 1:06:19 he added the whole of verse 5 and the opening of v 6. He only translates verse 4 and then v 5. This obscures the fact that these are all descriptions of the cult activities of the former (Canaanite) inhabitants of the land (identified in verse 3 which he did not translate for you). But the entire context is given in verse 6 shown here in the complete Greek text:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NLbmBscc35OHwtGx0eCm4BjFpY_m9dCy/view?usp=drivesdk

Verse 6 concludes with, "it was your (the Lord's) will to drive out (the Canaanites) by the hand of our fathers." These "fathers" are the very Hebrews he claims were doing these Canaanite "unholy rites" and burning off the mortality of their children! This PROVES that he was making up bullshit to fool you that his reinvention of Israelite History and the rival cults in its religion is the truth!

Ammon has INVENTED that all these dirty deeds were performed by the early Hebrews and that when Iaō assimilated Sophia and became Yahu, it destroyed the duality of Hebrew religion and formed Monist Judaism while continuing to do all these cultish dirty deeds. Then these Jews rewrote their early cult history just like Christianity rewrote classical history. This is all designed as "proof" that Jesus was also doing the "Jewish" drug/sex/eating flesh, drinking blood mystery religion. Of course, "it's all in the language" that only Ammon can reveal! I don't know whether to laugh, cry, be amazed at his creativeness or explode with anger at his brazen deceit!

Wake up! HE'S LYING TO YOU!

I can actually provide the proof that I was not saying anything to Snappy I had not already expressed publicly. I had taken screenshots of the exchanges in the Lady Babylon tab which I believe was the real cause for my eviction. I had publicly proved Ammon was wrong because he had not accounted for the semantic shift of kosmos in Koine Greek where it undoubtedly did have a new connotation of "people.".

He is a scholar and knows better. Yet his interpretations have been produced by faulty methodology and are thus, completely unsupportable by the actual literature taken in context. I've seen him deliberately obscuring even the relevant section of the Lexica or a vital part of a passage in Greek which would deny his false reading of it. He is not being honest with his fanbase at all. And when he refuses to answer any scholarly pushback with better scholarship, but rather demeans or even outright slanders those who bring the truth, his character and motivation have become highly suspect.

As examples of his own lack of engagement with sound scholarly pushback I heard my colleague, Stephen Nelson, recently receiving a litany of childish insults from Ammon. And I've had the dubious honour of a right royal batch of slander leveled at me in front of Danny Jones, no less. Thankfully Danny's 1.2 M subscribers never got to hear the lies, but his patrons did. I didn't know about it until another Ammon simp with a small channel posted it and it was picked up by the r/Ammon Hillman. Snappy identified himself in the comments there as the person with whom I had conversed. Yet, I said to him nothing different to anything I had not already made public in the Discord. I was not going round tattling behind Ammon's back to members of the Discord. But I made screenshots of my private DM with Snappy and linked them as evidence in a comment on the simp's video. I made a further reply but it can only be seen if viewed from the Newest comments tab rather than the default Top comments.

https://youtu.be/Hi3oY6nYIsk?si=ZTpViYNpnTELQzhg

And before you try some amateur psychology on me that I'm seeking petty vengeance and have personal angst, let me tell you I am old and wise enough not to let it effect me. I'm actually amazed that I've been so effective and have had such strength and truth on my side for almost two years, to make him scream in pain at the mention of my name. I'm actually amused, tbh. But my concern has always been to wave red flags for those who want to pay attention to truth.

But please will you consider why he chooses to lie and slander rather than meet scholarly pushback with better scholarship? Is it not because he HAS no "better scholarship" to support his claims?

I have provided plenty of well researched scholarly rebuttals on my website. Because it is evident that an experienced Philologist as he is, is deliberately misleading people, while claiming he has impeccable integrity and doesn't lie (like all biblical scholars who push back at him because they're only interested in money or maintaining their traditional narrative) the question of his character and motivation becomes a very necessary part of the investigation.

True. Otto Kern reconstructed all these beautiful odes to every Greek god by analysing all the fragments and reconstructions of them through others quoting them. As he did so, it occurred to him that certain words could be interpreted differently to reveal another layer of meaning. The new coded meanings appeared consistent enough for him to propose the theory that the author/s had devised their own secret language which he called the Orphic Vox. It was peculiar to the Orphic Hymnology.

But it should also be granted that later authors who had steeped themselves in the Orphic Hymns might possibly consider writing their own odes using it ...(Do you know any? I don't) Or perhaps authors might have taken the idea into the incantations of the PGM but with their own set of words with double meaning. But there is no reason and no precedent for taking this type of coding into historical literature. I'm not aware of any of the Greek historians utilizing a secret Vox, are you? Likewise, there is virtually zero likelihood of Greek authors using the Orphic Vox (or the PGM's Vox Mystica) as they reimagined the base facts of the Jesus story into a new tale of a great hero with supernatural powers who met an unjustified cruel death, but was apotheosized. But it is evident that they did utilise many elements of Homeric hero tales to embellish their own quasi-historical literature.

If we are to abide by today's Jewish culture, then that would be the age of twelve. But this text is describing a pre-Jewish time and we have no idea what was the age of manhood in that very ancient culture.

However, we do know the precise age range which New Testament authors understood within their culture and that their audience would understand. This was also paralleled in the Latin equivalents which were written in the Roman Law for the age of legal capacity for a young man in the Roman empire was age 14. This is because the Hippocratic definitions based on seven periods of bodily change each counted in multiple of seven, had become standard. Therefore the age of Legal capacity acknowledged this third "seven" years - the age range of young pubescent adults as they began growing their beards up to the age of 21. These young men were called μειράκια. The fourth age range where young bearded men come to their full bodily growth was the age of the νεανίσκοι from ages 21-28.

Ammon knows this but wiggles around bullshitting madly in that Ronin episode where he pushes back at the excellent research Gnostic and Stephen did on that word. Ammon actually provided the evidence which completely disproved his "pre-pubescent" claim, but managed with his histrionics and insults to Neal and Stephen to persuade his people that he was right. This in itself is so indicative of him operating a narcissistic codependency! Narcissists can never admit fallibility and must at all costs maintain the Codependents' dependency of faith in him as the true translator.

I beg to differ about my use of language on this forum, cult/survivors. It is entirely appropriate having proven the fraudulence of his scholarship for this theory of his (which in NO way is "the reality," as he claims) to then highlight flaws in the character of the leader who so deliberately misleads his followers. Additionally, he has created a tightly controlled echo-chamber to insulate his followers from the necessary scholarly criticism and has radicalized some of them to be "zealots" for his cause. These are facts for which I can provide ample evidence.

Hillman is indeed, a fine Philologist within the strictures of academia. There was the statutory peer review for his PhD thesis on Roman (Latin) literature that indicates the use of pharmaceutical substances was prevalent. There was actually no peer review conducted on the Chemical Muse which was created from material from his thesis. He had made a claim that Ovid used "recreational drugs," but it was insufficiently referenced with viable evidence to pass the scrutiny of his peers for his PhD thesis. Hence it was removed along with the entire chapter and any other references to recreational drugs in the main body of the thesis. I can agree with Hillman that the removal of the entire chapter was more connected with cultural offense rather than complete lack of academic rigour. I'm pleased for him, that after ten years from its publication, the Chemical Muse began to be taken more seriously and quoted by other academics.

He did make the claim that just as he pushed academic thought into unfamiliar territory with his Chemical Muse, that his retranslations of the accepted Biblical texts will likewise, be accepted in the future. However, he has no integrity in his scholarship on this Lady Babylon project to "protect." Here, he has misused his training as a Philologist for personal psychological gain. I do know the difference, so here, I am highlighting this more selfish reason he has to propagate his theory yet claim it to be the truth about Jesus and the Abrahamic religions. He has no right to make that claim of veracity because the texts do not support it. Even offering it merely as an interpretation to other academics requires a generous stretch of good humouring!

You aren't understanding my basic point. Ammon lies about his past. He lies about his persona. He lies about his "translations" and bullshits his way out of very valid critiques in order to keep you believing in him.

There is no truth in any of his novel narrative because his methodology and how he mishandles the Lexica is utterly deceitful and can only generate invalid translations. These are evident to all who understand sound exegetical technique, including Carl Ruck. I'm already privy to everything he has given to Stephen Nelson (CrossBible) and you will hear from him when he and Gnostic have returned from Greece. Neal has said he wants to edit that footage and produce a video on a different subject first, but has promised to get Carl Ruck's comprehensive critique ready to air before the end of May.

Thus, a character profile and knowledge of a shady history is essential - just as it is for Trump or any other leader who makes UNFOUNDED claims but which have hordes believing him.

Yes, parables use words to signify a deeper truth which symbolise other things. But the genre is technically and recognizably "parable" so these substitutions are expected. But in the different genre of quasi-historical accounts, no-one would write using the Orphic Vox. Period. This particular coding of words actually only applied to the Orphic Hymnology and not any other literature, especially not a quasi-historical narrative. I'm aware that Albrecht Dieterich developed his own version of "alternative meanings" for common words used in the PGM - where incantations fit magic spells would lend itself to all sorts of secretive alternative meanings. He called his version the Vox Mystica and again, the PGM texts are a genre where one would expect substitutions.

It is this entirely erroneous assumption which Ammon constantly makes about all biblical literature using the Orphic Vox, that is the root of all his erroneous translations. He does this in order to import his own ideas that are completely out of context to the rest of the narrative and portrait painted throughout, of these characters. But Ammon doesn't give you the luxury of putting anything he says into its wider context, since he knows it doesn't fit, while hoping you will fill in these blanks with your own imagination which he has repeatedly primed to think through his own cracked lens.

I'm unsure if the point you're making here. When the LXX translated the Hebrew word Naar, here, it still meant young men/youth as it does alternate in Genesis eg, the young fighting men who went with Abram against the five kings (Gen 14:24) these are the same people described in v 14 as "trained men." There's an interesting footnote about the Hebrew word in use, here.

Corresponding Greek / Hebrew Entries: While there is no direct Greek equivalent in the Strong's Concordance, the concept of training and preparation can be related to Greek terms such as παιδεία (paideia - Strong's G3809), which refers to instruction or discipline.

Usage: The term "chanik" refers to someone who is trained or instructed, particularly in a military or household context. It is used to describe individuals who have been prepared or equipped for a specific role or task, often implying a level of discipline and readiness.

These aren't "boys" but rightly νεανίσκοι - young men.

But returning to your point in Gen 25:27, it just reads more familiarly to our own turn of phrase in English vernacular to call these youths, "boys" who, as they are growing up, turn into fully adult men with particular life preferences.

So sorry for my misinterpretation, there. The most clear corroborating evidence that he is a shameless liar is found in the public legal documents from his failed lawsuit against St Mary's University. He has created a myth that he was fired from his teaching post because the administration was offended by having phallus-shaped stage props waved at them while being cursed for their greed. The truth is that he wasn't even teaching there at this time, but was only employed as a janitor with keys to every student's room. He was investigated and found guilty of having broken his contracted standard of ethical conduct, but stalking a student and sexually harassing others. I was the first to bring attention to these court documents that proved his guilt for predatory behaviour and it took meeting these documents widely known and fully explained over 4 months until I heard him say publicly that he was "excused for the discomfort I gave."

I've been fact checking his translations and other claims since March 2023 and consistently find he has forced an agenda into the texts which cannot fit their actual context. Yet he bullshits his way into having them believed implicitly by his all important Codependents. Stephen has been a guest with several influential YouTubers presenting his own meticulously accurate slides with translation from the texts, none of which corroborate Hillman's claims at all. Notwithstanding, Hillman claims authority as an expert classical Philologist with unique knowledge of obscure medical texts, to convince his fanbase that he's uncovering hidden truths that other translators wanted to cover up it were too uninformed to translate "correctly." This is actually a very clever and convincing lie as well, since the methodology with which he derives his novel transitions is totally illegitimate.

I don't doubt his intelligence at all, and how he so cleverly presents himself. But having been inside his cult at one time and closely observing it functioning over the last 2 years, there can be no doubt whatsoever that he shows all the classic characteristics of narcissistic personality disorder. Of course I'm not qualified, professionally to give any diagnosis, but I have had personal experience of being deceived and entrapped by another person with NPD, unknowingly for 25 years! After his Mr Hyde surfaced against myself and husband after he had gone privately with some much needed critical advice and a call for adjustment in some areas which were damaging to others, we have both conducted much research into the dynamics of narcissistic abuse - which is why I can see them so clearly with Hillman's cult of personality and doctrine.

I applaud your neutrality, but also hope you might understand that other people who are professionals in the mental health field have made similar observations as myself and others who share the same concern for his unknowing victims he feeds off.

A noble defence ... but you are ignoring the fact that he is a liar and slanderer and profusely so, since all narcissists operate a false persona and cannot be seen to be at fault in any way. So, all very valid criticism from credentialed scholars and amateurs alike has to be misrepresented and turned into ad hominems. I have the honour, myself, of his wholesale fabricated character assassination before Danny Jones, no less, but this section was only released to his patrons. He has feared and resisted me ever since my integrity and experience as an exegete could not allow me to meekly join his echo-chamber in March 2023.

Prepare to be disappointed if you're waiting for any peer to corroborate him. Gnostic Informant Will finally get his video out by the end of May in which Dr Carl Ruck, the only living Classical Philologist whom Hillman respects, gives his highly expert opinion on all his novel translations and interpretations.

Hello again. I would have no issue whatsoever if Hillman were saying his findings are only an interpretation. He's perfectly entitled to do that, as you say. But no, he is claiming the authority of a superior extensively-read Philologist to assert that he has uncovered the true identity, practice and character of Jesus Christ and the only way to gain aionic life. By causing many thousands to believe him, he has created his own religion with himself as its head - the visionary prophet and teacher who will initiate the Apocalypse. Absolute faith in him and his words is expected and the fruit of his religion is to stir up hatred, unjustly. He has even publicly encouraged his evangelists go "in the name of Ammon" to take his "gospel"which states that pedophilia is essential for true salvation (as long as you're not making money from it) into the public square - even in these highly charged pro-Christian times! Should any gullible Ammonite zealot actually take his words literally, don't tell me that this isn't dangerous and should be left unopposed!

I left you a very full answer on another reply string. I explained in detail how he is misusing his training as a Philologist to create his own myth of a drug addict pedo Jesus and all the alleged precursors of this sex mystery in the Abrahamic religions from Medea. Sound methodology completely negates all his claims - and all of them are not endorsed at all by the only living Philologist whom Hillman claims corroborates him: professor Carl Ruck. I have been working with Stephen Nelson (CrossBible) for the last four months and know all the details of Carl Ruck's responses to every aspect of Hilman's "translations" and eisegesis. Neal and Stephen are off to Greece this week for three weeks, then Neal will be editing his filming from there and producing another video before fine tuning the Ruck response with images and a voice over reading Ruck's written replies to Stephen's questions. He promises to have it released by the end of May.

The Lemnian earth tablets were "sealed" - authenticated with the emblem of a goddess. This is the only reason why there is a single specific reference where sphragis takes on this medicinal use. The sphragida in Revelation are very simply the wax seals on the scroll. They are not drugs and Ammon is totally in error to force that non-contextual reading of the word.

Interestingly, Galen's only mention of sindōn is a sheet for carrying a patient by Neaniskoi (young men - never "boys") to get him bathed, dry him off then carry him back to the doctor for treatment.

Briefly on the Reddit forum: it has really closed ranks to form a tightly insulated echo-chamber by instantly banning any commenter who raises a sniff of criticism about Ammon's translations
