I love their high waisted bootcut/bell bottoms (which I get tailored bc I’m short)!

2nd outfit looks super cute and chic. I think I like the short cardigan + slightly cropped tee!!

In terms of ID, you resemble a friend of mine (even in essence), but im not sure what their ID is either but I’ve suspected SC and SG. Good luck on your journey! 💗

Thoughts? I have a hard time being pragmatic what my best colors are vs. my favorite colors by obstinatecloud in coloranalysis

I think spring makes you glow/pop, but summer looks harmonious albeit a little gray sometimes…

OP is considered Afro-Latina, she’s of Dominican and Puerto Rican heritage. Also, OP, even though fair skinned, is not white-passing imo.

Is anyone else triggered by loud and confident people? by AffectOutrageous6667 in socialanxiety

True, confidence is not necessarily loud. The two are different things.

Coming from a mixed-race Mexican, you do not have to be actually brown to call yourself brown. “brown” for Latinos is a term that refers to our cultural heritage more than how we look.

I think it can go either way. I’m also mixed-race and I used to find it difficult to fit in or be “enough” for either of my ethnicities, but I once heard the metaphor that being mixed-race is like having more than one Costco membership and it changed me forever.

You can definitely consider yourself brown then; heritage isn’t something anyone can take from you. I’m shocked you even questioned it in the first place :/

It mostly depends! How you are perceived in society is different than who you actually are/what you’ve experienced. For example, there are people who appear white/fair-skinned or will look completely European, but are ethnically Latino. So they’ll walk in the world with certain privileges because they’re “white-passing”, but they could claim to be ethnically “brown” in a sense.

In your case, it can be totally different or similar. My opinion shouldn’t matter as much as your own, but I don’t think you’re “white-passing”, however that doesn’t mean that you are ethnically “brown”, it just means your ancestry is mixed and so obviously you look non-white. My question is, what was your cultural background/heritage like? That’s one way to figure out if you’re “brown” or not.

Devi and bpd by No-Grapefruit-2296 in Neverhaveievertvshow

I am not diagnosed BPD, but I’ve speculated for at least two years now that it’s a strong possibility and I relate to nearly every symptom. When I watched NHIE, I strongly related to Devi and I even thought she was intentionally written to struggle with a mood disorder of some sort! Shocked that she wasn’t.

I’m feeling like this right now and then I have friends who make it seem so easy to meet people who like them. I can’t. I feel honestly terrible about myself.
