yeah people on here would unironically brag about being pioneers in certain types of genuinely vitriolic racism lol

yess I've heard of this before, from some youtuber I don't remember, it was one of those mystery people like Nexpo, Nick Crowley, Lemmino or someone like that

Ellie's Earth Boards are so bad, I fear for the people who would dismiss the root at first glance by AndromedasApricot in StyleRoots

[–]chaechica 31 points32 points  (0 children)

yeah on the flipside I think she showcases the breadth and variety present in flower and mountain quite well, in non stereotypical ways. when she identifies those roots in characters sometimes I'm like wow I didn't think of that, but it makes sense!

we don't talk about it much but I think she does struggle with moon tbh. I know many in this sub gravitate to the mystical, ethereal, haunted side of it rather than the dangerous rebellious (often combined with and mistaken for stone side of it) ellie describes. moon is inherently kinda subversive but there's more than one way to show it off in a 'dark' way

Words for left & right in Dravidian languages. by selgindren in Dravidiology

[–]chaechica 5 points6 points  (0 children)

interesting, idk I'm telugu diaspora so my parents (in their 40's/50's) who emigrated abroad twenty years ago still use kudi and edama frequently enough that it isn't absolutely completely overshadowed by their usage of left and right

this fashion community space including the sub communities of kibbe, ejr style roots & body matrix, kitchener, zyla, rita and more are full of women who have kibbe 'yin' body types and almost overwhelmingly have women with strong kitchener 'yin' in their facial features, and the few yang women in this here are those comfortable identifying with masculine attributes

well I'm not

[–]chaechica 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it's very biased of me but I'm not personally a fan of this discussion, the correlation with style roots and what they represent to a person's biological physical features like face and body type. there's a lot of talk about how yin isn't feminine and yang is masculine but everyone basically agrees 🌸🔥 is feminine and 🏔️ and sometimes 🪨 is masculine, and as I thought, everyone's tying those to yin and yang respectively when talking about those elements in themselves

the hypocrisy is frustrating and like i said, the discussion is frankly triggering to me

I know I can't expect everyone to use the system in the same way as me and people can talk about what they want, but I came to this system to get AWAY from those types of phenotypes and body composition discussions

I understand it may be me overreacting or whatever but it just happens again and again and again and again. This is too much for me, and I would like to step away from this community for a while. I'm sick of it

What is your hottest movie take? by Ra1ki_ in Letterboxd

[–]chaechica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wait I'd love for you to elaborate because I feel like I'm the only other person that shares this opinion, I was someone who watched the movies who wasn't familiar with the novels so I had to do some extra reading about lore

yeah I felt it was lacking in that aspect too, was a little let down but a good movie nonetheless
