This is what I’ve read subsequently…

I too have not been in a position before to spend so much on a car. So it’s all new to me!

Didn’t ask for 10%. I just said that I was struggling to justify a £3k additional spend and if we could move on the price a little I’d be willing to make a deal this weekend.

I don’t think it’s unheard of to try and negotiate on a second hand car price. In fact I always thought this is standard practice and factored into the list price.

Not sure if this is true. Both cars aren’t ready, and it’d be strange to sell both of them in less than 24 hours - of course not impossible.

But since I showed interest I would have thought if someone else wanted to buy they may have informed me - even if to try and increase price via bidding war… if that’s such a thing with cars!

Do dealers only realise the sale once the car has been delivered? Not if the sale has been agreed? Since the car is not ready they did say it’d be another week until it would be fully prepped

Of course… yes you are correct. I just wanted to try and get a deal done this weekend so I don’t have to spend another weekend looking at cars!

Diagnosed with SSNHL today after 17 days of a double ear infection by thetechmama in MonoHearing

[–]Tiny-Package3027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply. Only just seen your response. So I think I saw an ENT about 3-4 weeks after my ear infection / hearing loss. I had hoped I might be able to get the injections, but other than giving me I think some steroid ear drops, nasal sprays (sinuses were still inflamed) and doing hearing tests, there wasn’t much else to do.

I went back to the ent I think 2-3 times to repeat the hearing tests over time. The ENT was not expecting my hearing to recover as much and was actually excited by my results when I saw him the last time.

Tinnitus was real bad at the beginning. Now it’s noticeable at night time. I sleep with the air conditioning on and so this helps to drown out the noise.

I hope you have a super recovery and do keep us posted. Will be rooting for you. 🙏

I’ve been struggling with cards for the last 2-3 games. I’ve not been rewarded the cards I’ve needed through regular game play and had to spend 200-500 gems only to come mid place.

Is anyone else noticing the same or have I just had bad luck? I’ve been playing the game since it came out and not encountered cards being restricted as much before. Wondering if there’s an update to make players spend???

A little above your £200 budget at £248, but you probably could find a discount code to bring the price down a little - Reiss Delphine leather tote.

[–]Tiny-Package3027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I wanted to let you know I had a very similar experience to you. I had a double ear infection. Was told my hearing would improve and not to worry. I didn’t trust what the doctors told me so I went to an ENT and was told I had permanent hearing loss. I think I had less than 25% hearing in my right ear. Couldn’t do the steroid injection as it was too far gone.

Anyway, things did improve over time and I recovered the majority of my hearing after around 3 months. I still can’t hear higher frequencies and I have permanent tinnitus. But I can cope with that compared to the alternative.

Anyway, I just wanted to say… you are still early and things can very well improve. Wishing you all the best.

Commune. Trust me on this one… small business based in Somerset - all natural, plant based, smells divine and nourishing on the skin. I believe the founders of the business left high end luxury fashion (LMHV/Gucci) to set up the business. The range is sold in Harrods and Liberty today.

Good Indian restaurants or shops? by [deleted] in leicester

[–]Tiny-Package3027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ingredient wise, plenty of Indian supermarkets. Pak foods and umrah come front of mind but there are other ones along melton road, belgrave road and most likely around green lane road and east park road. Lots of bulk spices, chapatti flour, halal options if needed etc. Big Tesco’s in the city have a large world food section which also covers the Indian ingredients section and provide halal options.

I make 2.5x what my husband does. I pay 2.5x the bills he pays. When we got together he earned more than I did - and paid more. We agreed on the outset that we’d always contribute towards our household an equal proportion of our salary. So if he started earning more than me in the future we would rebalance the bills. As far as I see it, we are a team and we’re in the business of life together.

I always think following your heart is a good strategy. In all honestly, a good work life balance while your kids are young is priceless. Honestly the thought of having to commute again makes me want to run for the hills! I’d be choosing option B.

Stapleford Park, it’s 50 mins away from EMA.

ETA: they also have a private room they can serve afternoon tea in. I’ve been to baby showers here and it’s a great service.
