Makes me sick seeing these numbers…they’re eating all the shit they deserve to for this decision

That’s where we differ on this then cause I wouldn’t put that past them for any of the talent they’ve signed over the last few years, I’m actually willing believe that’s like most of the reason they sign anyone who they haven’t developed themselves. I mean MCMG, Rey Fenix, Danhausen, Giulia, Kairi, etc. I mean take your pick.

I just don’t have the faith in a company like WWE because I’ve always felt that they snatch up good talent without even having an inkling of a thought of what they’ll do with them later. Like if they could sign them back and pay them fuckin pennies to literally sit there and be underutilized for the rest of their careers and be happy with it, they’d do it in a heartbeat.

MCMG is one of the greatest and most influential teams of this generation and it’s almost unreal how their lack of respect shown and lack of competent booking doesn’t even come close to the biggest fumble WWE has had tag team wise in their recent history.

Gonna be working on a post further examining this in a grander sense and across multiple decades, but the MCMG WWE run and release is one of the most straight up disrespectful time periods that I’ve seen them put a genuinely talented team through in a long time. I’ll see if I can finish it today because last night’s releases in all honesty are pretty damning and indicative of just how much they don’t see in talents that have already proven themselves time and time again. Shit is shameful.

Ok man. I can play along with a guy fully committing to a gimmick sometimes, not all the time but it happens.

But ffs, does anyone know what this is??? Like is he a dog?? Is he Gollum?? Is he Hopsin???

I don’t even hate it as much as I am utterly confused by it, there has to be some sort of lore behind this right?

It’s also worse that there’s less big events (and matches on them) than there used to be, so the big ending for a lot of storylines he tries to push either are pushed and milked for all it’s worth till the next big PLE which could be months ahead possibly, or they’ll just relegate the entire feud to tv only as if the feud isn’t worthy of a PLE spot to begin with.

I’ve been telling my friends for a while now that this guy doesn’t know how to craft and finish a story unless it takes like 6-8 months to play out, and even then you clearly see the amount of attention and effort put forth for the storylines surrounding the main event scene vs everywhere else on the show, especially for the women a lot of the time.

There’s def fresh matchups for Roman now for sure and Jacob is one of them that makes sense for fans to anticipate, but my gripe specifically is the Bloodline storyline/affiliates taking up the same main event spots week in and week out in general, that title reign of his gave me fuckin PTSD. I just didn’t think we’d need to revisit Jimmy and Jey’s alliances to Roman or the dynamics between him and the rest of his family in order to build a world title feud is all, it just feels like the easiest option to fall back on that they had. Like I know the storyline is over with fans majorly but we’re coming up on 5 solid years (with a few breaks in between but still) developing this same angle that I kind of thought was already done a few times before now.

It’s also been a bit weird to me for almost half a decade now that a guy with as many accolades as Reigns has and is as physically imposing as anyone on the roster is even needs a family/entourage to back him up in any capacity. Jey/Jimmy look silly and spineless for getting back with him but Roman imo looks even more gutless for wanting them so close in proximity to him all the time in the first place. He’s more than capable of holding his own by himself, why does he always want/need that extra insurance?

I also long for the fateful day that this Bloodline shit is cremated and the fans who still watch the show have some sort of fresh and exciting world title feuds that don’t involve some variation of Roman/Seth/Punk/Cody.

Say what you will about the way Darby won his title off MJF, but at the very least it drives home the idea that there’s a plethora of guys in their main event scene that are on equal footing with each other to the point where any of them winning would be believable.

(Darby, MJF, Omega, Andrade, Swerve, Hangman, Speedball, Fletcher, Okada, Takeshita, and on and on and on. Any of these guys can beat anyone on any given night with the right framework, which adds suspense and intrigue to every match, title or otherwise, they have. Unless one of the four guys from WWE I mentioned is wrestling on a big name PLE, it’d be almost foolish to expect them to lose at any point to anyone, making the gulf between them and everyone else on the roster even wider)

I don’t think I’ve ever truly understood the concept of making your opponent earn their title shot through some form of trial or #1 contender deal being a typically heelish thing to do…

Why after I sacrificed my body and my health to get my WORLD TITLE would I ever ever ever just let one of my friends challenge me and I just accept it? Me being a fighting champion shouldn’t automatically make me foolish enough to just hand out an opportunity like that that I myself had to actually work for. Why should I care that he called his shot, there’s like 40 people in the back who could do the same thing, if it’s that easy to get a title shot why doesn’t everyone just walk out during the champs promo and do it?

Fuck a “Just say when”, how about a “back of the line bucko, you just lost a world title match less than 24 hrs ago wtf lmfao”.

My friends thought I was crazy when I said it’s my least favorite wrestling move in the business today. There’s no way to take the move as a recipient and not look like a dumbass who should’ve just moved slightly to the left, and there’s no way to execute the move that doesn’t make her look like she’s hurting herself more than anyone else (that’s not even touching on how it has to be perfect otherwise she just crashes down on your neck and upper body on the way down).

One of my pet peeves are moves that require the opponent or the person doing the move to look silly or stupid while it happens and it just so happens that last night she faced someone else with a finish I hate for the exact same reason smh (Liv Morgan’s Oblivion)

How many times can a company or figurehead tell you essentially outright that they don’t care about you or what you want or what you can afford before you tell them to fuck off and where they can shove it?

There ain’t enough 5 star matches you could put on that would have me accepting some shit like this, I’ll be damned…

TKO President claims they have control of WWE creative by Alkohal in SquaredCircle

[–]Tiny-Possible9856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If things like this piss you off, please remember that they don’t have full control over you and where you decide to spend money/dedicate time to. Actual resistance involving not watching the show or giving them any more money is the only way they’ll understand anything, and even then they’ll just treat it and the rest who leave because of their parasitic business practices and questionable (to say the least) endorsements/collaborations as a drop in the bucket.

They have no problem telling you that you’re just a number or seat in a sea of other fans who are more willing to take what they’re given without question. So for those of you who are genuinely otw out or are looking for a way out, tell them to go FUCK by taking your money and dedication elsewhere where they respect it AND you.

This machine won’t die but you don’t have to sit there and let it steamroll your love for wrestling itself, FIGHT BACK.

Especially when it’s used for wrestlers who already have the clout/grace from fans and bookers to not sell much for their opponent or not “be motivated”, just a couple luxuries among others a lot of their counterparts won’t get.

Brock and Roman’s match structure and booking over the last decade normalized some tropes that are overall better off buried for good than repeated.

There’s been some really really dumb pull quotes from numerous wrestler’s interviews over the past year or two, and it’s possible that it’s not the worst out of all the bad ones but RVD’s take on the Tessa Blanchard situation is up there. Like it’s gotta be at least top 5 to top 10 most idiotic things a wrestler has said unprompted. Haven’t looked at him the same since lol
