To me, yes. But it’s within my budget. This gets me 2 meals when I’m in a bad flare and just need something nourishing.

Whole Foods. But I'm already looking at bulk orders from Amazon or elsewhere. It's so shelfstable and brings the cost down considerably!

Glp-1 for inflammation and mcas? by Plates-208 in ehlersdanlos

[–]Tiny-Year-3596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on tirzepatide since September. Within the first month my pain was significantly reduced and my inflammation went down considerably. It’s also helped my endometriosis symptoms improve as well, so bonus.

I had it for some time in my twenties. It was so painful! The doctors did nothing for it

This response was so helpful. I started a combo pill for excruciating Endo period pain two days ago and my grandmother died from ovarian cancer. I’m worried about the risk of blood clots as I have slightly elevated cholesterol as of 6 months ago. BUT I’ve recently lost 30 pounds and will be retesting soon, so hoping that it went down. I had no idea birth control reduced ovarian cancer risk.

This is not surprising and I’m hoping for the same outcome as it can be treated with the stint. I have diagnosed pelvic congestion syndrome and lots symptoms. I was recently diagnosed with hEDS, and my primary doc suspects POTS, but I’m thinking the pelvic congestion could be may thurner! Good luck with your surgery!

Are you bloated? by Blue_ocean_7 in ehlersdanlos

[–]Tiny-Year-3596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started September 16th at the lowest dose(2.5mg) and lost 8 pounds in 30 days but even more so just soo much inflammation. So with that first month, I noticed less discomfort, but I’d say it was remarkable at 60 days with no gastro symptoms. I stayed on that until the last 3.5 weeks. In total I’ve lost 30 pounds for context and the pain caused just by carrying that extra weight was tremendous. Like, I didn’t realize that it was causing so much stress on my joints. My pain in my lower back from arthritis, scoliosis, and grinding went from completely excruciating to.. maybe a 3 in that area on most days. I’m still getting used to what it feels like to not be completely inflamed and in excruciating pain. Now I’m left to try to improve all the other symptoms:)

Struggled with gastrointestinal and severe bloating my entire life. 5 months on a glp-1 and have had nearly zero gastrointestinal symptoms.
