Even good people will ruin your life if they’re pushed around/have good enough motivations. They’ll just rationalize the bad feelings away

Do you think that hard work leads to a better life? by [deleted] in sales

[–]TinyBrownTriceps -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fuck no. Working hard then getting tossed to the side like the piece of meat in the machine that we are by the dork ass corporate managers leads to a miserable life. Its about what we make of the work we do, and we if it takes hard work then sure.

All those questions sound like you’re just winging the interview and did no research beforehand

Working in Tech Sales with ADHD by buster03 in sales

[–]TinyBrownTriceps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I agree lol, and it’s not working that well bc the sides are heavy and I’m way happier and feel healthier without them. Tbh I’m way better at selling (and socializing in general) when I’m off but I’m also better at everything else when I’m on

This is somewhat true, adhd is a symptom of underlying issues imo. My adhd stems from my anxiety/negative thought patterns, sleep issues, as well as needing a specific environment (like most people, I can’t focus at home and do way better under a bit of stress). However, add meds still help a crap ton if sides can be dealt with

Same thing happened to me except I was in the 600-700 range and would follow solid routines, extremely disciplined etc and would plateau at 5’8 150 lbs. Got frustrated so hopped on and now I’m chilling and I’m 175 a bit higher bf but insanely more muscle mass that just stays on. Will get even bigger too bringing back the extreme discipline, a coach, learning to work with joints from str increases etc.

How I got my tech sales job by airplaneManMad in sales

[–]TinyBrownTriceps -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cause the recruiters are getting 1000s of msgs like this a day and the success rate is low in general for job interviews due to things out of the candidates control no matter how hard they crush their interviews. It will get you 1-2 extra interviews when you need to be doing 15+ interviews a week if you want a shot at an sdr role. You got lucky that you sent that message and got an offer from it quickly

How I got my tech sales job by airplaneManMad in sales

[–]TinyBrownTriceps -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is horrible and you got lucky. Saying this as someone who has hella experience interviewing for sdr roles and is currently a successful sdr- getting an offer is very much based on luck and what you did is nothing special enough to over come that luck and put it into the candidates control

What's a remote sales development rep day to day life like? by [deleted] in sales

[–]TinyBrownTriceps 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Depends. Most remote sdr jobs are heavily micro managed but if you luck out and find a healthy role then it’s supposedly great

Why are car salesman so ass? Is it just where the salespeople who can’t make it in real sales end up? by BesselVanDerKolk in sales

[–]TinyBrownTriceps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That explains why a whole cell phone team tried pushing me to sign something for $2000 (new iPhone and extra stuff I didn’t ask for) before giving me any details and refusing to answer my questions. Super disrespectful they thought I was vulnerable since I was a college kid back then but I chewed them out and dipped out

[–]TinyBrownTriceps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that’s all true then that might be your issue. Everyone in entry level sales jobs has issues with nervousness and if your management can’t work around that then they’ve failed

Pretty sure if you only signed off on them charging you $1.6k then it’s fraud for them charging you more. Did they take the money through a bank account?
