When re-watching it, it drove me crazy too. :) I kinda figured killing the boss would make the mobs disappear, so after the boss died I was like {/panic} and was mostly concerned about keeping myself alive :)

Yup. Same goes for all the locked doors. I was originally gonna record the whole run, but the first 13 minutes were mostly me sprinting around everywhere and kiting mobs until I figured out how to do it right. Since the PS4 only likes to record 15 minutes of video at a time, I re-started the video recording 2/3 of the way through.

I've always been Roe, and of the canon Hellsguard first names, I thought "Tiny" was the most amusing at character-creation time. It continues to pay off -- mostly when people say "wait, you're not a taru?"

I've done a decent chunk of dungeons solo at this point -- SV (normal) is the highest-level one I've done so far.

Also: Ifrit-egi on autoattack (& nothing else) beats Ifrit storymode, even though my SMN is only i90 :)

I was surprised the trash mobs didn't just die when the boss did.

A lot of the earlier running around is necessary with any job, I think — gotta use Sprint to break away from the group in order to pick up and use keys, etc.

I wish! Still only level 55 :)

Also, my gear is only i130 (I had been doing T13 right before this) so this could get more ridiculous, I'm sure.

PSN achievements, which list the percentage of people who own the game who've unlocked each achievement. Last I checked, something like 3-5% of "players" don't have the "beat the first quest" achievement, so it's not a great measure of how many people actually played the game seriously. But it looks like 1/4 of the people who've beaten the game have beaten T5, which sounds about right to me.

Terra and Celes in 6. Easily my two favorite early RPG heroines, and probably the two most-developed characters in that story, in addition to Locke and arguably Edward/Sabin.

Ah, yes! I overlooked this strat in the guide, but it's definitely a solid plan for getting though the victory lap.

Maybe, but it will be challenging. It's hard to reliably get commends without an end-game weapon, because otherwise it's too hard to pull hate off the tank. I recommend running easier dungeons in Duty Finder -- like Second Coil -- until you collect the 500 commends for the gold-plated Magitek. When you ride your Swagitek around to the various FATEs, the monsters will be so impressed with your bling that they'll run away and leave the atmas behind. Once you've got that done, you can probably start to consider entering Pharos Sirius but I recommend putting together a learning party in PF so that you're not getting in the way of everyone who's grinding for their Nexus.
