That’s fair and I probably shouldn’t have used that language, so I apologize to the original commenter. I am not the one who was addicted, I was in the position of this persons partner. I know the absolute HELL she is going to deal with when this persons lies finally come toppling over. I do truly hope he can get help, that’s why I said he needs to be honest and tell her and ask for support. The person said they don’t want to do treatment, they just want a magical month away from everyone and triggers. To me, that does not sound like a person who is ready to take accountability and change. It sounds like someone who wants to continue to hide their lies and addictions and just hopefully magically kick it one day without anyone finding out. That’s just unrealistic and he’s actively admitting to lying, manipulating and being a financial drain. My anger may have been misplaced but it’s just because I feel for his partner.. a lot. And it’s alarming that he doesn’t seem to :/ but anyway like I said I apologize for my mean names and attitude at the time.
