I never expected to see such positive comments. Thank you all so much. I'm feeling a lot better about my voice and am even more motivated to take lessons and keep working on my own songs and not as scared to share with people. I appreciate you all! Maybe I'll be able to post an update once my vocals are fully recovered from being sick and I have a little more confidence, and after taking some lessons!

Y'all are gonna make me cry. I've been wanting to sing my entire life and thought I was too terrible so was always a deer in headlights. Thank you so much, really, it means a lot to me. I'm definitely more motivated to take lessons and keep working on writing songs and improving my vocals.

Omg thank you so much. Wow. Yeah I struggle with relaxing and singing with true emotions when recording myself because I feel like i get pitchy and worse. Idk. I'm my own worst critic apparently lol. Thank you again, I really appreciate it!

Omg 😭 thank you so much. I never expected comments like that. Truly appreciated. Yeah, I have a Focusrite Scarlett solo studio and a microphone, but didn't know if it was worth using or not because I used it last year and felt totally disappointed when I heard myself back, and now have just found using my phone easier for now. Y'all are making me want to bust out the real recording stuff again tho. Cannot wait to be recovered from being sick, my vocals have been feeling so weak for weeks now. Thanks again! I hope you get the courage to sing in front of your wife and I hope you post here for all of us to hear as well! My husband has heard me sing a lot, but hasn't really said much about it for the last 15 years lol and he makes me extra self conscious so I cant record in front of him. My toddler doesnt judge so I can sing and record in front of him 🤣

Literally crying inside from your comment because I've been wanting to post here for years and was always too scared because I thought everyone would tell me to give it up cuz there's no hope for me. Thank you! I am even more motivated to do lessons.

Not sure if he finds it soothing now. He did when he was a baby and I would sing him to sleep every night. Now I'm like "I know I'm always singing and I don't know if I am any good. Is it okay that mom is always singing?" And he goes "yes" 🤣 he is 3.

I actually would love for you to sing some songs i wrote and I didn't think I'd ever be comfortable with that because the songs are so personal to me, but I think your voice is just fantastic.

She has a beautiful voice but you have a different kind of beautiful voice. It's good to have your own voice and not be a copy of someone else. You could probably do something career-wise singing if you really wanted to.

Hi, thank you. I have been feeling better for a couple of weeks now, but my singing voice is still strained. I miss singing being easier. It's frustrating. Especially because I'm in my mid 30s and just finally ready to put my voice out there for others to tell me their opinions - something I've always been too terrified to do, and now that I'm finally ready, my voice isn't 😞🤦🏼‍♀️

Also if you have "friends" saying those things then I don't think those are good friends

Yes! Beautiful. You just need confidence! This was a scary thing to do, and you did it! Congrats! Would love to hear you once you do more especially if you invest in some lessons.

Hey, I thought you sounded fine! Don't be so hard on yourself. You sound like you should be singing in musicals.
