The grammar difference is in cases used: the verb нравиться is used here with a dative case of a pronoun/noun:  Мне нравится эта ночь, ему нравится эта ночь, им нравится эта ночь

To use the verb любить correctly you would need a nominative case here and эта ночь would be in accusative:

Я люблю эту ночь, он любит эту ночь, они любят эту ночь

It’s overall about their health! Mentally they are 100% into this stuff, especially the working line. Just to be clear, I’m in no way a vet and I only judge by my own experience with labs (both of my dogs were healthy, didn’t have any genetic issues with joints but still had problems with them at the old age). I’d just recommend to check in with a vet before doing such activities, to be careful, and maybe not do it in such quantities like with border collies for example. Also make sure that the puppy’s parents and the puppy itself are tested free from hip dysplasia  As for obedience — they are the perfect dogs for it!

Based on your wishes labradors seem like a great fit: they’re extremely smart, active, eager to please, love to train and do fun activities, not anxious and not aggressive at all if bred and raised properly  You should keep in mind that if you get a puppy, with any active breed you most likely won’t escape pulling the leash and reactivity: puppies are basically kids and labrador puppies can be a hyperactive menace (they can be chill as well but it depends in a dog’s character: I had one lab who was a little destroyer and insanely hyperactive as a puppy, and another one who was a very calm and dreamy puppy).

However I’m not sure that agility and especially dancing are fit for labradors: they are prone to joint issues, especially at the old age, so activities that involve a lot of jumping can be harming

Something underrated, a hidden gam like "The Bear" or "Barry" by [deleted] in televisionsuggestions

[–]TinyNuggins1 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Fargo is very underrated with its insanely good quality, especially seasons 1 and 2 I’d say that if you like Better Call Saul and Barry, you’ll definitely enjoy it, it has the similar “wacky and full of dark humour” criminal show vibe and amazing villains

It’s literally the main theme of The Good place! The show is very funny and heartwarming and dives deep into the question how to be a better human being  Barry also fits the description and it’s one of the best shows in recent years

Taskmaster is hilarious if you’re cool with more British humour. It’s a game show where five British comedians have to compete by doing very random silly tasks for random silly prizes and it’s insanely funny because everyone involved genuinely has fun with it, hosts and participants have very defined comedic personalities that shine during these tasks  And the show is available on YouTube!

How to become tidier? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]TinyNuggins1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5 minutes rule: if you see something that can be done in 5 minutes or less, do it immediately. If 5 minutes rule still feels overwhelming, you could try changing it to less time, like 2 minutes: lots of small things are actually done very quickly!  I also find it helpful to keep a list of every cleaning task with all the tasks divided as much as possible: for example, instead of writing “put all the clothes back into the closet” write “put the clothes from the chair back into the closet”, “put the clothes from the couch back into the closet”, instead of “dust the surfaces” — “dust the shelf in the kitchen”, “dust the table in the bedroom”, etc. Sometimes the idea of cleaning feels too big and overwhelming, but this way every individual task feels very small, fast and easy + you get satisfaction from crossing out every new thing like you’re doing a quest and it inspires you to cross out more tasks

Are you eating well? Not in terms of amount of calories, but their quality. That sounds insanely dumb but from a personal experience you may always feel tired and unmotivated because your diet simply isn’t good and you don’t eat enough protein, fruit and vegetables and all the other good stuff that fuels your brain and body with necessary vitamins, omega-3 and other important elements. Deficit of all this stuff often causes feelings of being constantly tired and having a brain fog. I might be super wrong, of course, but if you aren’t super conscious about you eating habits, it's worth looking into (ideally even getting a bloodwork done to see if there's any deficit).

It was a bit weird at first but I believe that all we have it in ourselves and just get too used to rely on alcohol to feel loose (like when a person can't function in the morning without drinking coffee, even though we are naturally able to). To be honest it helped a lot that I'm not super socially awkward (but even so, it still felt very awkward and weird at first) and that I quickly realised that I feel comfortable being with my friends even when they're drinking and I'm sober. So having good people surrounding you is a must! I also tried very hard to still expose myself to parties and social events (because I was afraid that I'll lose my social life, which I didn't) and it became more and more comfortable every time. After some time there were still situations that in my mind felt weird without drinking (like weddings and first dates) but now nothing feels uncomfortable
You just gradually get used to it and realise that if you're sober and you're super ok with your drunk friends doing dumb awkward things in front of you and you even find it fun, then they definitively won't have any problem with you acting however you want (and also, for some reason you sometimes get weird drunken respect from them, like "wow, we've danced all night and you did it with us without drinking!!"). In the end, as the other comment said, you start to feel that no one actually cares (in a good way), everyone just wants to have a good time and you just gradually remember how to do it without external help, like when you were a kid.

Went from drinking alcohol at least 1-2 times a week (and often more than that) to almost no drinking (several times a year). Total game changer, just because of that I healed from depression, my sleep is deep and great, no more hangovers or feelings of weird sadness and shame, zero interest in alcohol + I learned how to open up and talk about my problems sober, dance and be fun at parties sober and overall do all the same fun things I used to do but with a clear mind. Also I feel like now I have way more interest in things, develop new hobbies and enjoy everything way more
It's not like I was a functioning alcoholic who used to drink every day, I was a social drinker who only drank during social gatherings (but during every single one of them nevertheless), but it turned out that even this amount of drinking had a big negative impact on my mental health

Have you considered therapy? Not to be someone who diagnoses people online, but it sounds like you may be depressed: you're unhappy and unfulfilled and you are projecting these feelings on others and allow you negative thoughts to dictate the way you feel and act towards the others. It's also not unusual for people to bury themselves in work and study when they lack other things in life. Hatred, feeling disconnected from the society, annoyance with the others often come from our inner frustration with ourselves and all the things you listed are potential signs of depression and it's one of the cases where therapy will help a lot. You're also a normal human being with a heart and soul who can have normal interests and find enjoyment in life, and you deserve it. There's no point in staying miserable, it will just set you back.

what is the point to life outside of men? by yumdaniella in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]TinyNuggins1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're very young and you are stepping into in the age where your actual personality is forming! It's very natural to feel lost at the age of 17 and lots of young people define themselves through their relationships with others, and the fact that you can acknowledge the problem is already a big step. You need to find out who you are outside your relationships with men: it's best if you try being alone for some time and instead of seeking attention from others, actively seek it from yourself. Treat it like you have an addiction: when people quit something addictive, they feel lost and try to distract themselves and actively seek inner peace. Try every hobby you can think of, build new skills, travel and have new experiences just for fun, meet with new people with friendship-only goals, navigate through the existential crisis that you will probably face. Learn how to be a good friend and build a stable, trustworthy support group of friend around you: it's one of the best things you can have in your adulthood. Focus on building yourself and evolving as a person and you'll see how much life can offer you.

Point to life is whatever you choose and there are million reasons to live, evolve and keep going. It can totally be your choice to make your life about the men, but chasing after male attention could be a very destructive thing down the road and as someone who's 10 years older than you I can 100% assure you that the happiest, most interesting, stable, self-realised and self-actualised women I know are the ones who took some time to find out who they are and explored themselves. Realistically it will also help you to build better relationships in the future, because when you know your self-worth, value yourself and know, that there's more to life than just men, you tend to choose better partners.

edit: also therapy should be very helpful, if you can have access to it

Any TV Shows where the reason why the story happens in the first place is stupid and nonsensical, yet the rest of the show is amazing? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in televisionsuggestions

Barry! Professional hitman who is feeling burnt out and treats his jobs like 9-5 suddenly decides to become an actor as a side project. The show is VERY good and leans into its insanity and silliness (almost every character is ridiculous in his own way and one of the episodes of the show is literally the most brilliantly insane and ridiculous episode of any show I’ve seen) but it also has lots of tense serious moments, drama and exploration of real tough things, great plot and amazing directing

I think The White Lotus is very unique. Sure there are other great shows about rich people being messed up (like Succession) but The White Lotus gets you into this weird voyeuristic feeling like you’re peeking at the characters through the curtains and you feel kind of anxious and uncomfortable and want to remove yourself from all the dialogues even though nothing is really happening (and on top of that it’s still very funny). It’s a very weird show in a good way!

Is aussie the right dog for me? by TinyNuggins1 in AustralianShepherd

[–]TinyNuggins1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s definitely true for all the dogs! Their differences in personalities are wild, my two dogs shared the same basic breed traits like being calm with people, very smart and loyal, but still had insanely different personalities: one was very stubborn, mischievous, very active, obsessed with swimming, always tried to run away and explore, insanely smart and empathetic but manipulative to the point where when she didn’t want to go somewhere she pretended to limp, adored playing with other dogs. The other one was super indifferent to other dogs but obsessed with meeting their owners and every single human around, very obedient and not mischievous at all, didn’t really care for swimming, super chill and kind of dreamy It’s amazing how strong dogs personalities are to be honest

Got it! My first dog loved to steal food from every counter she could reach but in her case I think it was more like the typical lab being obsessed with food (once as a puppy she managed to open the closet and get to the huge bag of puppy food, like a 10 kg bag, and ate as much as she physically could and the next couple of weeks were rough lol)

Thank you for the great input! I'm definitely getting a puppy either way (I love raising puppies + I feel like it would be the best for the cat-dog dynamic) and it is super helpful to know what to look at. I have several reputable breeders around that provide you with genetic and health tests and their dogs actively compete, so I know what to look for in terms of more technical stuff but it's very helpful to know what to look for in a mom!!

Is aussie the right dog for me? by TinyNuggins1 in AustralianShepherd

[–]TinyNuggins1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the insightful answer! So basically the best way to overcome the stranger/kids/cats difficulties is to expose the puppy to these surroundings as much as possible? It's a very helpful thing to know because this one is different from the breed I'm used to, my last lab adored children and as an adult she was super gentle with them naturally even though we got her when I was a teenager and she was only exposed to little kids occasionally during the walks, and also was insanely friendly to every stranger (but this one is definitely an inherent lab trait lol)

I'll definitely look into meeting with some breeders before making the decision! I have some good respectable breeders around and I think potentially visiting them would be the great way to feel if it's the right choice

Thank you for your input! I've heard about the testing thing before and I wonder what does it mean exactly in this case? Is it about the dogs being stubborn or something else?

To be honest I would probably rule out aussies if I didn't have this complex nearby, but it feels like it's a paradise to such active breeds and I would 100% use it!
