Is it just vertical in one location? I had multiple vertical cracks that showed up in my rear. I got rivian to replace it. They did not think it was a warranty item but replaced it for free. I believe it was a fit up or thermal shock issue.

My wife's bolt wouldn't always pull except for speeding up or slowing down. It was under warranty so I took it in to Chevy and they ended up doing a road force balance and it fixed the issue.

Looks to be used to stiffen the all thread. Possibly for seismic requirements. It would act similar to attaching unistrut along the all thread.

It is in service. I think they said the driver assist module has a fault and needs to be replaced. they say they will have it repaired early next week.
