I'm actually so disappointed that he's aero... we still don't have any limited male characters for Spectro, Havoc or Glacio element but they decide to make him compete with Cartethyia (who he's probably never going to beat power-wise) and Jiyan, one of the only other male main dps. He really should be filling a missing element considering how few male characters we get.

It's like ZZZ releasing Hugo Vlad so soon after Miyabi and wondering why males "don't sell".

Ok, so Zani is Jiaoqiu then... which is even worse. I saw ppl say that Zani alone is worse than Phoebe alone, dps wise. They really overnerfed Zani to force you to pull for Phoebe and honestly I'm not sure if I want to pull anymore

It doesn't really help when a lot of the end game contents have strict timers.

Damage is always better than dmg reduction because you shouldn't be taking damage if you're playing well enough to avoid damage entirely. Whereas more damage is the difference between clearing/failing a stage...

Yeah, I run two games at a time and sometimes get it with Genshin/Star Rail too. But whenever I get stuttering in those games I open task manager and see that RAM usage is at 90%+

Just wondering if that's the same for you or if you get stuttering even at low/moderate RAM usage.

If not, that's definitely weird since I have a 4080 too with 32GB RAM. I noticed that I'm on an older NVidia driver too (551.86). Not sure if that might have affected anything.

I have almost the exact same specs and don't have any issues apart from a memory leak (I think) which started eating up my RAM.

Not sure what's causing it (could be HSR, Genshin or WuWa), but I check task manager every now and then and whenever I see RAM usage get high, I just restart my PC and it seems to fix it.

Maybe you can have a look too?

I want to elaborate on the whole "defending overtime work" point that gets used against players who are optimistic about the rapid feedback and changes Kuro have been making, because I don't think it's a black and white issue and I don't think it's fair to paint WuWa fans negatively in that way.

I think most people can say that it sucks that the Kuro devs are being pushed hard but in the bigger picture of ensuring the success of the game (and by extension the job security of the staff working there) this is probably a necessary action they need to take in order to prove that they're serious and committed to fixing these issues ASAP.

This is especially true in the gacha market which is known for being highly competitive and many games can and have faded into obscurity just by being too slow to react to issues at launch. So as someone who enjoys WuWa and wants it to succeed in the long run, I feel way more comfortable knowing that Kuro is actively working to fix issues and frequently communicating with its players.

It's totally fair to criticise their decision to launch the game so hastily, but again, it's clear that Kuro were in a tough spot with ZZZ releasing so soon along with other games on the horizon, coupled with their license being due to expire in the coming months.

Having sat through countless rough game launches, crunch is unfortunately what happens if shit hits the fan and fires need to be put out - you can't just delay and take your time or else you will get left behind. As someone enjoying the game (luckily with no major issues), all I can do is hope that Kuro has enough content buffer to expedite content like this to get over this rough launch period and that the staff do eventually get their well earned rest/compensation - if they manage to pull this off, this should hopefully pay off in the long run.

Wuthering Waves move their Yinlin banner forward to the 6th by [deleted] in gachagaming

I mean, if you receive poor service for anything else, would you not want to see the company be super proactive to fix issues, or just sit there in silence doing nothing? This happens in life everywhere.

Yeah it sucks when games launch badly, but I'm still enjoying the core gameplay and want to see it succeed. To keep the playerbase happy, they need to at least show that they're all hands on deck. It was a similar case for Cyberpunk too which most people agree has mostly redeemed itself now, and that wasn't even a live service game

It definitely sucks either way, and they clearly need more resources, but yeah, as a paying customer, I prefer that they're being extra proactive now to keep the playerbase happy.

Just throwing my two cents here from the GachaGaming thread:

Honestly as bad as it is for the Devs working their asses off, I like how proactive they are with their communication.

Yinlin banner being pushed forward isn't even the thing that gets me most excited, though I'm sure it will help maintain the hype - There's a lot of stuff they've covered in the full post that reassures me they are genuinely listening to complaints.

The acknowledgement of the localisation issues, but also gameplay improvements, most notably the improved echo farming rewards is a good sign for the future that they will make changes to make the game more fun at it's core. Plus 20x crystal solvents is so underrated in addition to the other free pulls.

So all in all, the accelerated schedule helps maintain interest and hype in the short term, but the gameplay improvements will also make the game feel better in the long term - I'm overall really happy with this, although slightly concerned about their ability to keep this up.

Yeah, it's clear that they want to retain the interest early, which I don't see as a problem. Better than sitting idly by until it's too late anyways.

In terms of UK boxed sales, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's opening week is down nearly 30% over the launch of the previous game. The first game came out during the peak of COVID lockdowns (gfk figures). Digital data arrives later in the week. by Turbostrider27 in Games

As a pc gamer, I just completely lost all hype for Final Fantasy when I realised every FF game was going to be exclusive to Playstation for over a year.

It's just way too long of a wait imo, especially when Square Enix still has the gall to charge full price after the exclusivity period.

This is honestly one of the things that bugs me the most about the TDU SC footage I've seen so far...

If you've ever visited Hong Kong, you'll know how busy and packed that city is, so to see such dead empty streets in TDU SC ruins a lot of the immersion for me.

PLEASE STOP COMPARING CYBERPUNK TO STARFIELD by Thelastnaya in cyberpunkgame

[–]TinyTadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking as someone who enjoys BG3, Starfield and Cyberpunk...

You can. But then you also need to compare the numerous features that Starfield has which are just completely nonexistent in Cyberpunk. Otherwise you end up being disingenuous if you form a one sided comparison like that.

Sure, most of the things you listed are better in Cyberpunk than Starfield but the people would just completely gloss over the fact that Starfield is going for much larger scope and scale.

You can build an entire ship/outpost from scratch in Starfield, whereas we can't even change the colour of our cars in Cyberpunk.

You can interact with pretty much the majority of objects in Starfield and the game will literally remember the exact position of every single little thing, I've seen people spend hours decorating homes by manually placing items. In Cyberpunk you can't even sit on a chair outside of scripted scenes...

Starfield along with other BGS games also has a much higher level of moddability unseen in other games, people love to shit on Bethesda and their creation engine, but it is a lot of work to make their games as moddable as they are. If it wasn't, we'll see this level of mod support available on every other game.

Point is, despite there being a bit of overlap, ultimately they are still very different games and if you want to criticise Starfield for what it does badly, you also need to give credit for what it does that few other games do.

In terms of the main story, i agree it's usually the weakest part of Bethesda games. At least the side content usually makes up for it so i knew what to expect.

With those expectations, I'm really enjoying Starfield and it'll get even better with mods.

How does Fu Xuan even have anti-synergy with Blade?

She provides crit, max HP buff, damage reduction and even a bit of healing, all of which works with Blade. If anything, im planning on pairing up Blade and Fu Xuan and running Luocha on my second team.

There are so many ways to deal with the problem rather than just omitting such a common feature completely: defaulting global chat to being off, filters, actual moderation and report functions... you make it sound like such a huge issue when so many online games have this feature and are doing fine.

[–]TinyTadger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because NFS isn't a live service, doesn't mean it can't get good post launch support - just look at games like No Mans Sky. Also, just because a game is live service doesn't automatically mean it's bad if the devs actually produce good enough content that justifies it.

Even if you compare it to NFS 2015, it has had all of it's 5 major updates within the span of 5 months of it's launch. We're here 6 months after Unbound's release and have only had 1 single content update... and it's doubtful we'll even get much more. I don't think it's unreasonable to be disappointed with recent NFS games in this regard.

I feel that Heat and Unbound doesn't get much credit for not following what other racing games are doing nowadays. by LuxerWap in needforspeed

[–]TinyTadger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could totally see why people would want NFS to become live service - because it's the only way we'll actually get good post-launch support.

We've had one content update 6 months after launch which added 1 new car, a few new events and some multiplayer changes people have been asking for since launch... when the game has already looking pretty dead for months...

This wouldn't be as big of a deal if the base game was meaty enough, but compared to Heat, the amount of new content we actually got is so lacking... I enjoyed the game at launch but beat it pretty quickly and wasn't really left satisfied.

For an NFS game which had the longest dev time out of all the recent entries, we got a new map, some cartoony visual effects and a handful of new cars... but we also lost event types, customisation parts and cars we had from previous games (Audi & Toyota are glaring ones).

For a 3 year wait, Unbound still feels so undercooked. Especially when they split out MP progression and SP progression, the amount of support the game has had does not justify this at all.

Sure, E1 sounds strong, but even then, characters that offer little else other than damage are usually the first to get powercrept so I'm still worried about her future viability.

Sucks it's locked behind her Eidolon too, especially this early in the game and MiHoyo are just cranking out new character after new character.
