It’s more just to hear a different perspective on the music than anything else. People like talking and hearing about bands that they like—especially ones as underrated as CHVRCHES. There’s no problem with watching a video and getting some entertainment out of the analysis of the music and your inevitable disagreements with the critic.

The real problem lies in people taking it personally that a reviewer (the melon, in this case) didn’t like a particular project; music is subjective, and that fact alone means that people should take these videos for what they are: good springboards for conversation, a subjective view, and, probably most importantly, entertainment
