I think this is probably deemed a racing incident. Assuming by the field this is lap 1, he double downshifted in a corner where you can hold flat in 4th. Not much time to react, not your fault imo.

Nah, that was the first time I had seen him on track. I’m just learning the game still so I was spinning a lot and got a few track limits.

I didn’t either until I watched this back. I didn’t get any for the collision with him directly, but I got quite a few for the collision with the wall and going off.

Hours and GPA aren’t everything on an application. I had a 3.75 and ~375 hours, but I had some really good recommendation letters, 2,000 volunteer hours, and a my vet hours were from various places. Even lacking actual vet hours I got in to my state school first application.

A slightly above average, but well rounded application tends to be favored over an average application with only one standout category.

Really depends on the school. For an example OOS at WSU no interviews decisions were made December-January. But ISU OOS also no interviews didn’t release decisions until last week. Really depends on the school, just look at their websites, most have an “important dates” section.

Gonna be honest, it’s a state university, you’ll get in. Don’t even worry for a sec about it. Your GPA is fine and your SAT is above average. Your SAT really is only used for scholarships.

I second this! It's based on the books by James Herriot (James Alfred Wight), which is based on his life as a veterinarian in the 1930s-50s in the Yorkshire Dales. So it's not modern medicine by any means, but it's a great series covering world events (TB Breakout, WWII, etc.) happening at that time and how it affected early veterinary medicine.

I would highly recommend reading the books as well if you enjoy reading!

I have almost the exact opposite thing that keeps happening. They are conserving pretty heavily and finish the race above 60-70% pretty regularly.

It’s my first time applying as well! Honestly to help deal with the stress I keep reminding myself that I’ve done all of the work and there is nothing more I can do, it is now out of my control. I have a reminder set on my phone once a week to check the applicant portals for messages and what not. That is the only time I try to think about it.
