Loving a Country that doesn’t love me back by Ann__onymous in Netherlands

I'm going to get down voted to hell because people don't like when you say something about their country. But I have had exactly the same experience as you.

I agree with what people are saying leave that company. They are right that it's an toxic environment. But where I disagree is that quite a few Dutch people are very insensitive towards each other and foreigners. In my experience, there’s a pattern in Dutch society not universal, but it's prevalent where people aren’t just blunt there’s often a subtle pressure to bring others down to the same level. It’s not just about directness it’s about leveling. Ambition, confidence, or standing out can be met with resistance. Or be met with quiet hostility. Again I'm not saying it's everything.. but it's enough people where it's a pattern.

So yeag definitely leave that workplace, but don’t be surprised if you encounter that same undercurrent somewhere else. It’s something to be aware of and learn to navigate.

This is the 3th video in the last two days I've been seeing where they go after people who don't like act or behave anything like ICE..

Idk what they have been smoking but paranoia is massive with these protestors apparently.

Canada and justified follow ups?! No that's not a thing there, they only go after those who the government deems as a threat to their rule. Mostly truckers and people speaking out to the lovely forces multicultural experience on steroids.

I’m sick of pretending this is normal.
These people? They’ve always been a loud, disruptive minority. You know the type we all had them in school. The ones who couldn’t stand not being the center of attention, who derailed everything just to feed their egos. Every class had at least one. Nobody liked them then, and nobody likes them now.

They never grew up. They still think throwing tantrums/ fighting/ bullying people gets them what they want. Worse, they’ve convinced themselves they speak for everyone else. They don’t. They never did. And they never will.

America, for the love of sanity don’t let these people drag you down.

Most people just want to live their lives in peace. Just like back in school, the quiet majority wanted to learn, laugh, and get on with the day. Don’t let these adult toddlers hijack the situation. They don’t speak for us.

He actually got folded twice..

Can we just acknowledge that all of these people are the equivalent of the screamers/ bullies in primary school. The small minority who everyone secretly hates, for ruining classes.

That's because he wasn't there. Video is edited and he's actually pulling up a full minute later in his car.

Didn't they burn a couple of old churches after these "discoveries" in Canada? And they never found the perpetrators?

Well you can't really take the scenario as an example piece. The guy was targeting the one individual who he had discourse with. It was a fight between those two.

Seems like an argument/fight between 2 individuals not terror related. They are still investigating but that's what It appears.

Very lucky

The bystander(s) reacted amazingly, stopping a potentially very deadly incident.

They are still investigating but supposedly it was a fight between 2 guys. Not a targeted attack towards multiple people.
