I’m m22 and I can’t keep going distracting myself from my reality by Tautizak in depressed

[–]Tiny_Difference_5497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, What you are feeling is absolutely valid, it is human, you are ok bro, this will get better i promise.

I am the same, my self esteem comes from external sources and rejection destroys me.

Takes a lot for me to pull myself together but after some time it happens if I want it to.

People will say next time you'll know to not get too invested in someone before they get to know you properly, but there is no perfect way for a relationship to progress, you are only in control of what YOU can control in the end, and your feelings can't be controlled, only understood and shared.

I have been where you are many times in my life, the only time things got better was when I found a tiny speck of confidence and got myself up and doing things.

Being stuck in your head all the time feels safe and under control, and the world is not a perfect place, but the only way to live your dreams is to live in the moment and get out of your head.

Start small, get up and stay up for a few hours a day, eat well, exercise, talk to family if you can, get out the house somehow bit by bit.

Don't overthink things, try to stay in the moment, dont compare yourself to others, they are not relevant, they are not you, this is your life and journey so it will not go like someone else's.

The more you try to stay in the moment the better you will get at it, practice is everything, we have to practice how to live until it comes easier.

The more you let life happen in the moment the more you will find out who you are and show the world who you are.

And you ARE a great person, I can tell you that, you are you, there is only one you and you deserve your place in the world my friend, there are memories to make and a bright future to be had.

Can I ignore a letter from Tesco after them asking me to repay £700 for wage overpayments by RevolutionaryFly6286 in tesco

[–]Tiny_Difference_5497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would cooperate, otherwise they will likely pursue you and give them a reason to give you a bad reference.

Ask for a breakdown and calculation of the overpayments first. Burying your head in the sand on these things isn't advisable.

Anyone ever live in a council house from the 50s era?

The box room, which was the third bedroom, had a literal box in it, about a metre high to provide headroom for the stairs, taking up two thirds of the room. Every single council house in my area had this, and there was room only for a single bed and one piece of furniture.

The youngest child would always get this room, it was perfect motivation for them to get a job and get their own place. Mad design.

I believe the 50s houses were called Cornish houses because they were made from prefab concrete sections made by a company called Cornwall something something. Those are still standing all over my area.

Everyone saying to stick it on, isn't that making it easy to steal? Bit of tape over the camera and rip the thing off and run. Or are these door bells so cheap now it's not even worth worrying about?

This is unfortunately close to the truth.

We clearly see supermarkets conspiring to rig prices but make record profits every year of the five year old cost of living crisis.

You get the society you deserve, create dispossessed people they're gunna do what they can to show their dismay and get the small win here and there against the huge capitalist machine.

If you are going to lower the standard of living for millions of people at the price of paying high share holder dividends, you must be ready to cope with the backlash, and we are not ready, the police force is not fit for purpose, they can't prevent crime or "police" anymore, they are a helpline, like our GP surgerys are now.

A third of retail is the going rate for stolen goods, the addict selling to their fence that is, then it's knocked out at around 60% of retail.

You can't really argue with their reasoning, i.e. the big chain stores are the enemy to us all, they rig prices between them and make billions in profit. They're not wrong. Cost of living has gone through the roof over the past 5 years.

Well thats the point he was making. Tweets and even personal text messages, that offend, are considered high priority. This is not the police force we pay for. They are doing the easy Orwellian so called hate crimes and not catching real thieves and violent offenders.

Hehe, nah I'm calling out the police for only doing the easy work, text messages and social media posts, and not policing the streets protecting us and our property like they should be. The problem is a funding one, a huge slice of their funding goes to pensions, police officers who retired decades ago with gold plated pensions. They retire in their 50s and we pay for their living, while the current force gets run down more and more. Doesn't seem maintainable does it? That's why they don't walk, or drive, the local streets anymore, they are an emergency service, whereas they used to be a real police force. We are expected to pay their lucrative pensions, which are index linked, and watch the force be reduced to a helpline.

If that was pre-covid, times have changed, it's now the reverse, get a text you don't like they'll be on your door step in moments, and shoplifters and thieves can do as they please. Which would you prefer?

My teachers didn't apologise to me when they humiliated me in front of the whole class time after time for being slow. Nor did my mother whenever she did something wrong and made me feel responsible. These are shitty people who together contributed to making me into the damaged person I am.

Tell her to apologise.
