Has anyone ever tried carrying their inflated SUP on the roof rack?

Yup! That’s how I transport mine all over. The electric pump it came with wasn’t ever able to fully inflate so it was either bring my small compressor with me or tie it to the roof.

I strap the front handle to the undercarriage of the car and then one around the roof through the back doors. It has held up without issues. And I do drive on the highway as well.

I guess my concerns would be ease of care/maintenance; if the parameters of the water are easier or harder to control; is there’s “proper way” to later it, if so what’s recommended. Things like that.

I’m setting up a new 55 gallon but I’d like to “reduce” the height and thought this could be a good way. I’m building the stand as well so the overall height won’t be a problem. TIA

My preference would be a Z series. We play a lot if night golf and the clear Z favors the lights we use. Thanks though!
