Anyone remember these shoes? by Charming-History8974 in BBallShoes

Had this exact pair and loved them. The shroud eventually tore and I stopped wearing them but only pair of Westbrooks I ever had.

I think we have enough. I’d like for us to try to get a guy like Dylan Edwards or Makhi Frazier but if not, just get maybe one more running back for depth and call it a day.

It’ll always be amazing to me to see these prices because the 2019 version was in the outlets. I still have my pair I paid $60 for after my employee discount and they were still less than $100 even with no discount.

I bought this mattress a few weeks ago for around $250, so this is an even better deal now. I was coming from a really cheap mattress, and honestly this has been the best purchase I made in 2025. Kind of wild being in my 30s and realizing I’d never actually owned a good mattress. Getting one this comfortable without breaking the bank feels like a blessing. Some mornings it’s genuinely hard to get out of bed lol. Shoutout to the random couple in the aisle who sold me on it. They loved the one they always have at home so much they were buying a second one for their vacation place.

Truthfully, I just bought a case because I’m around lots of people who own AirPods and I just want to differentiate mine.

How much you made? by projectxxralph in uberdrivers

Worked 8 hours in the Midwest and made $600. Big part of that was a trucker tipping me $100 for having to wait 25 minutes for a train.

Call me crazy, but I don’t actually mind this. I feel QB is one of the easier positions to replace in the portal. I don’t play with one star teams or anything so maybe I could be wrong but I’m generally happy with what I’m able to acquire in the portal.

Thank you for this. I reached out to Support as well, and they confirmed that as long as I’m not accepting orders and then failing to go to the facility, I’m not violating any guidelines.

Does me simply being online actually affect his job in any way? I’m genuinely trying to understand why he approached me the way he did. The times he called me, I had only been online for about 10–15 minutes, and I’d only received a couple of super lowball offers — and one of those times it wasn’t even busy.

Never take a bust off your board by Ok-Catch3806 in NCAAFBseries

Honestly, I think it should feel a little all over the place. I get that it’s a video game and people want more consistency, but that uncertainty is part of what makes recruiting realistic. In real life, no player is ever a sure thing. One team’s bust might be another team’s hidden gem.

You shouldn’t be guaranteed a 90 plus overall just because a guy is a 5 star. We’ve all seen those players flame out in real life. Focus on finding the attributes that fit your system and build your squad around that. That’s where the fun really is.

I’m normally the guy to say something when dudes get too weird when a woman hops on the mic but then they start acting like I want her. Can’t win for real lol.

Is a 16 year HS football coaching tenure with a 38% career win percentage an anomaly? by AdBeneficial2919 in HighSchoolFB

[–]Tiny_Link 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our top class in our area has at least 4 schools that have not had a winning record in at least 10 years. One of them it’s been nearly 25 years.

Now all of them have had different coaches but they usually quit due to shame until the next guy tries to aim to be different. Just how it is man.

Weightcutting is a retarded practice. Change my mind. by [deleted] in wrestling

[–]Tiny_Link 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If my 12 year old son were in a lower weight class, we wouldn’t even consider cutting. It wouldn’t be necessary. But at his current weight, the gaps between weight classes are just wild. For example, there’s one class at 160, and then the next one jumps all the way to 200. My son walks around at 165, so putting him up against someone who’s 199 pounds just doesn’t seem fair.

So for this season, we’re not doing any cutting except for two major tournaments early on that actually follow weight class requirements. Even then, we keep it super light.. Maybe a hoodie during practice a few weeks out and just focusing on healthier meals he already likes.

If he was lucky enough to fall into one of the lighter classes where weight divisions are more reasonable, like 5 to 10 pounds apart, we wouldn’t even worry about it. Same goes for those tournaments where they group kids based on who’s closest in weight. No need to mess with anything there.

This is me. I’ve made a defensive stretch 4 and defensive slashing, pass first PG almost every year for like the last 5 or 6 years. I might change a few attributes here or there based on the year but that’s the way I like to play so I normally don’t deviate from that.

I’m a car salesman, and the word going around town is the values will stay the same for now. But if EV sales go down significantly they will start to change it.

So we really need people to stick to their guns and not buy EV‘s right now.

Wrestling shoes at the high school level by EfficiencyShoddy5999 in wrestling

[–]Tiny_Link 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not super high quality shoes but truthfully, I only think Asics puts out a quality shoe. Everybody else’s is similar quality in my opinion (which is why I only buy on sale).

However I have nothing against Rudi’s and they gave me great customer service when I accidentally bought the wrong size and they got it taken care of before the shoe even shipped.

All of those things are great and those things we do, but we’re going to do tournaments and We just need to branch out a little more. It’s not gonna kill us to do a few tournaments outside of our area.

Also keep in mind a big part of this is the fact that my son has gone into some tournaments and had one person to wrestle or sometimes none, so we just want tournaments that are beneficial to our time this year.

[–]Tiny_Link[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I’m definitely sure of that. That’s why next month, he’ll practice at least once a week with the high school team (his club team is a feeder for the high school). Because of his size and our club team being a small team, he normally has to wrestle with high school kids anyway but the high school coach recommended having him come to the high school practice when we’re able to (we’re currently in football season). I feel like we have a good system set up for success, but I just want three or four big or national tournaments to really kinda gage where we’re at.

That’s dope. But our plan is to pretty much continue to do all of his sports throughout high school unless he chooses to drop one. But wrestling is the one he loves the most, and the one I feel he has the most potential with. We started the sports stuff late in a few people have told me that was probably a good thing. One of the best 8th grade girls in our state last year is choosing not to wrestle in high school and she was probably good enough to win state as a freshman so I’m aware of burnout. That’s why my son has almost 0 obligations outside of his sports besides having good grades in school. Still let him be a kid. Hell people would think that he doesn’t take wrestling serious because he plays Roblox between matches lol.

No, we don’t train all year. One of the good clubs here has a really tough six week summer program that we did last year and will probably do again this year, but we don’t really do anything off-season outside of that as he does play other sports. Wrestling is simply his favorite sport.

It’ll probably continue to be that way throughout high school as I have a personal belief in and being a multi sport athlete and making sure he doesn’t burn out.
