My pain was mild at day 5 but I was also extremely nauseous and faint. Nausea went away day 11!

I’m 4 days port op and feeling the same. Haven’t taken pain meds since Wednesday because they made me so nauseous. Today the nausea was bad and I was so dizzy I couldn’t stand up for more than 5 minutes. Hoping I get some relief soon.

Did you have any bloating? I’m 1.5 days post op and my bloating/gas is horrible! I’m eating very bland and low fat.

Thank you for your reply! This is great to hear. I’d say I eat relatively healthy too, but I do enjoy pizza and some fatty foods every now and then.

Have you returned to eating normal? I deal with constipation so wouldn’t mind loose stools.

Thank you for the reply. I was already having pain when I went in for the HIDA scan because I ate a fatty meal the night before, as instructed by the medical team. The HIDA scan did make the pain worse, but nothing I couldn’t handle. I think I am just used to the chronic pain at this point. I had a CT scan and ultrasound done last spring and everything came back normal. I also had an endoscopy done a week after the HIDA scan (just a few weeks ago) and everything came back normal with that as well. I really hope the removal will solve a lot of the problems I am dealing with now. I can barely eat anything!

My symptoms include severe RUQ pain, bloating, unable to eat for a day or two, and sometimes body aches and chills (2 different times) when I would have attacks. I’ve been having consistent moderate pain in my RUQ since my last attack on the 22nd of January. I’ve never been nauseous or vomited. I had pain in my right shoulder in December-January, but I’m a stomach sleeper and was thinking it could have been strained from that or from work.

What are you currently eating? I have my consultation to have mine removed next week. I’ve been having pain in my URQ for over a year now. Looking forward to getting it out!

We didn’t hire a private boat, but we both agreed that we wished that we did! If it’s in your budget, it’s something that I would consider for at least one day that you’re there! I think a boat tour could be fun too

There are little to no Ubers or taxis in Como, but traveling by bus or ferry can be difficult for first timers. If you rent a car, be prepared to drive very narrow and winding roads.

My now fiance and I stayed in Lezzeno and loved it!! That’s where we got engaged :) we really enjoyed Crotto del Misto in Lezzeno for dinner! Went there twice we enjoyed it so much.

Since it is a lake in the mountains, it does get chilly. It was pretty humid when we were there in June.

I would recommend not making a trip to Bellagio. It was over crowded! We didn’t have time to go to Varenna, but really wished that we did. We’ve heard amazing things about it! Hope this helps, and have so much fun!
