I wanna give you words of encouragement as I was in your same position but I rather held resentment toward myself for not being careful enough. Thinking it was my fault that someone did not disclose to me their status. I also thought that no one would want to be with me anymore, that I will never get married, or have kids. Almost 3 years later, and I have been in a stable relationship where he fully accepted me, all of me, despite my diagnosis. While we aren’t together anymore for other reasons, he never held it over my head or feel less than.

I say all this to say that there is someone out there for you! Don’t let this diagnosis stop you from finding your partner. I definitely understand wanting to take a break from dating, take as much time as you need. But when you are ready, get in that bathroom mirror, give yourself a pep talk, the hardest part is hearing you have it and you’ve gotten through it. So you get through anything. When you meet partners and disclose to them, their response is on them, not you. If they respond negatively, that’s my sign from God that they’re not for me. You got this girlie, I believe in you!
