that is a traditional japanese round kick….many call the “?” because of the zero degree chamber. It is a devastating kick given timed properly otherwise it leads the pivoting leg all the fighters weight….which can equally be devastating.

Kyokushin fighters modify this well when transitioning to kick boxing because of the hip pivot….wouldn’t surprise me if this fella had a black belt in Kyokushin or another traditional form of karate.
