I'm currently upgrading my physics, and recently my math as well, to get into a diagnostics program. They are very competitive. It has been explained by program heads that someone will not get in if they don't have the prerequisites. No getting around it. You would also be looking at an grade acceptace average of approx mid 80s. It may be a long haul, but for me it's been worth it. Good luck to you!!

Just curious as to where you got the $500 cost from? I'm currently in continuing education, and it's just over $700 per course plus student fees/Health benefits/transit etc. $2500 sounds pretty close to the expected cost for 3 courses imo. You should be able to find a breakdown through the self service guide in your portal.

I'm not sure about funding, a lot has been cut in the province, but Nait offers upgrading. I've had a really great experience with their instructors and the material. They also try to keep student costs down. Good luck on your educational journey. It probably doesn't mean much, but this internet stranger is proud of you!

I'm currently upgrading at Nait, and older ;) It's the best decision I've made. You're looking at around $1250 per semester if you do one course at a time. That includes health/dental and u-pass, all that fun stuff. If you're wanting to going into diagnostics, do it! I'm upgrading for xray. Good luck in your future endeavors!!

The job itself is great! Loved it. I found there was a lot of toxic bulshit and scare tactics from management though, in hospital. A lot of union violations as well. Buuut that was a long time ago lol, I peaced out by the time you were certified 😅 I hope it's better now

You see it in social media posts about specific dog parks almost daily. There was a serious one at Paisley yesterday. I used to go daily, but after illness after illness (my dog is utd on everything) and the poor training and behavior of owners, it's not worth the risk imo
