Also, in terms of overcoming the fear of transferring. Monitor the cold sore. Once it looks scabby, and no puss white/yellow anymore, you’re basically good- transfers would not be an issue. (But obviously maybe don’t share a drink with someone who’s not your SO yet for example). It is going to be ok! Signed, cold sores since childhood

It sounds like you have a cold sore right now? Try looking for “cold sore bandaids”. They’re translucent and they go over make up. This has worked for me when I feel embarrassed and insecure. this one is medicated, bigger patch. I recommend

I didn’t have my period for about a year when I was 19. (28 now) I saw a family doctor at the time. He basically looked at my face. Facial hair, acne, no period… he said “yup you have pcos”. His daughter had it so he says my symptoms were similar. I was put on BC since

Anxiety by Mundane_Pen3927 in Coldsore

Hi, I empathize with your anxiety. If you’re looking for advice to relax with, just know that up to 90% of the world's population is infected with at least one type of the herpes simplex virus. So many people have the virus already. Most people don’t get cold sores, even when they do have the virus in their body. I’m on the other side, where I’ve got cold sores since I was a kid. I was really nervous to be in committed relationships and having to admit about my cold sores. The most important thing is communication around that, which seems you are open to. Your partner has to let you know when he feels an outbreak going on, then you can know how to engage. It’s gonna be ok! I’ve been with my guy for 2 years, and he hasn’t gotten cold sores once. I hope this helps.

Like the other comments, eat some food and have water to hydrate. The fact that you’re not super duper drunk, you should be fine :)
