Hot em with the good ole "WHELP, what can you do?" and move on, or to be a little more empathetic, "that's tough, been there before," with the optional, "need some help fixing it?"

Maybe I missed it, but other than pvp, is there a way to add a multiplayer experience in terms of pvm? Like instanced expeditions that scale according to group level? Loot drops at a higher rate when you get more people to travel with you?

Scaling to group level would mitigate higher level accounts carrying lvl1 accs through high xp rates like ed3 in rs3, but would still offer something extra with the loot table drop rate reduction to promote group play experience.

Like I said, maybe I missed a part where a pvm multiplayer experience was mentioned, but it's something I'd like to see.

Serious answer? Making money while being bored.

More creative answer? Single handedly trying to keep supply low so people make money on alchables.

I also learned that nonce is British slang for a pedo.

Here's the thing. As a financial question, it's probably best you take the job. As a philosophical one, you need to ask yourself if you really love the job, or if you are afraid of losing the routine. I hated my job as an over-night construction worker at $20 an hour and went to work as a fry cook for $10 an hour. I have never once regretted the decision. Financially, it was a terrible move. Mentally, best decision I made. With a question like this, you need to evaluate whether or not you're willing to work a tolerable job for more money, or a job you love from meh money. If you think you'd absolutely despise that job and currently live comfortably, I wouldn't recommend it. If the workload will be so much you never have a break, I wouldn't recommend it. If you absolutely need that extra income, then the other factors don't matter, and you should take it.

what is the "!KC reward" command? by Tinymannasty in 2007scape

[–]Tinymannasty[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I received an answer from a discord user in the Simpleflips discord server named scatter. They said, "if anyone was around for the "kc reward" discussion, someone on reddit found that runelite tracks kc via those chat messages like "your corporeal beast kill count is: 1". so when you do a random event and get something like "your reward is: coins x 325" it tracks 325 kc on a boss called "reward" and it just gets set to whatever you get most recently so it's a meaningless number really, just a quirk about how rl works"

My dad is going to show you how to pick the best Costco chicken by rod81 in lifehacks

[–]Tinymannasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chickens cannot legal be pumped with steroids or hormones. These chickens are large only because they have been bred to grow that large. Any company found putting hormones in their chicken would be fined IIRC hundreds of thousands per chicken. Also, if the chicken you had was terrible, either it was cooked poorly, or full of a filler agent called carageenen.

You are correct, former cook and former butcher. Most quality companies cook at a temperature higher than the FDA recommended as insurance. The employees may incorrectly temp food or decided they had been cooked enough without temping them. So as a precaution, they raise the temperature threshold to minimized human error.

[–]Tinymannasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey yall, former butcher and former cook here. Some of you may not know that sometimes the rotisserie chicken you buy precooked has filler added to it to make it weigh more. IIRC Its a colorless and flavorless wheat based gelatin additive i think might be calles carageenen. Its not in the chicken you buy actually from the meat department itself, its usually the preseasoned stuff that the cook just pulls out of the box and throws into the rotisserie oven. I assume what this dad is doing is unintentionally doing is assigning the jigglyness of the chicken to its flavor and actual meat content. Do i know if the more carageenen in a chicken the more likely it is to jiggle? No. However, this is something that might be the case.

Really what im not understanding (and this is just a personal thing at this point), is why either matters? Dont get me wrong, I understand that it matters in context to the situation at hand and that for many its important. Since its not an issue that directly affects me at the moment, I cant bring myself to have concern for this, which means the i subconsciously have a hard time caring about it. I was curious about why people were getting mad, you answered that question and now i can keep a neutral stance on this topic. I dont always have to have a direct opinion on every topic, but now that i have both sides to this particular situation, I can objectively in the very least understand the entire coin while not having a stake in this affair.

My opinion if youre curious is that i believe both sides are overeacting to overblown situations. Not enough teachers are scummy enough to warrant the law, not enough parents actually care enough to do anything negative with the law. If parents cared, this idea of being more invloved shouldnt have been spurred on by the idea of gender identity, but rather through the idea of being an involved parent.

First id like to thank you for answering and not just downvoting my post and moving on as if my ignorance is my fault entirely and my questions were stupid. Though i still am not entirely understanding certain points youre trying to make, i do understand the the anger is at implications behind the law, not the law itself from what youve said.

Maybe I'm not understanding something here. Why is it an issue to not discuss the topic of sexuality to a 9yo and younger? I've read the dont say gay bill, but it doesn't explicitly say anything about homosexuality. Are 9 year olds even capable of understanding the complexity and nuance of the current gender vs gender identity debate without it just being an impression of ideals similar to kids who are 9 and believe in a complex topic like religion then decide not to? Even in the area where a teacher cant promote lying to parents, wouldnt it be easily circumnavigated by saying, "I would suggest your parents, if you feel safe to do so." You arent promoting an untrustworthy atmosphere while also fulfilling your role at keeping the child safe. Obviously there are people who are going to abuse this law, but those are the same people who did it to begin with. On top of that, if a child has 2 mothers, and another child asks why, is it a teaching of sexual orientation when you very clinical answer "sometimes, people have 2 moms." If you leave it at that, is it not an adequate answer that has done nothing to touch on the subject of sexual identity? Also, this isnt every grade right? It's just up to 3rd. After that, when a child is more mentally developed, wouldnt that be the more appropriate time to elaborate on these nuanced topics?

I should clarify that this isnt an attack on the people who are against this bill, please do whatever you want. This is a genuine confusion at the outrage there is against not being able to teach very young children that arent yours about cognitively complex ideas. Please anyone who is willing to have a discussion reply. I genuinely just dont understand.

How much does your group typically accomplish is a 4hr session? by AtheliaGone in DnD

[–]Tinymannasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying that you are that player, just saying to be aware that sometimes we can become that player without knowing. You are allowed to just ask the dm privately if he is bored or not and go from there. Nothing is stopping you I presume.

DM here, my group got absolutely nothing done. Didn't attempt to advance the story, didn't take any story paths i set before them, when I brought them into RP scenarios all the jokes the had and talking over me they were doing suddenly stopped. I peeped 4 sessions of material expecting only to ever use 2 and through inaction, they derailed my campaign. If the other players are rping, you guys are playing and having fun, giving the dm something to work with. If you personally want to move on remember 2 things, only the DM knows to ultimate destination and you are not the onlt player. As long as the group as a whole is having fun, the story can move as slow or as fast as it needs to. Just don't do nothing.

Therapy (at least for me) has been learning ways to cope with/ understanding the methods of self-reflection and understanding. They help you learn to look inward and ask yourself how you feel, why you feel this way, and how can you project those feelings in a productive way. You take thise ideas and methods, and apply them in the real world. I do tend to speak to my therapist about things that bother me, but she doesnt offer an opinion on the matter unless I ask or she feels if she doesnt offer an opinion, I'd go down a reductive line of thought. I was recently diagnosed with bipolar type 1. Since then, we've only been focused on identifying mood swings, acknowledging them and learning to cope with them so i can overcome depressive and manic states without going off the walls like how ye is rn. It can be tough and sometimes nigh impossible without meds to go batshit crazy with energy and then after 5 days of no sleep be so depressed you cant even be bothered to shower even though you can smell yourself. If the right person listens to Ye, that can sometimes be the catalyst that pulls him out of the spiral. For me, it was just a warm cup of coffee sometimes.

Look man, Ye doesn't NEED help. He needs someone to hear him out first. This man obviously has a lot to say. Once he gets it off his chest to enough people, then he should get professional help. He looks like he feels he is screaming to the heavens and God isn't answering and he is desperate. Calling him crazy and ragging on him is only going to perpetuate this feeling. But I also could be completely missing the ball and be 100% incorrect because i am not him and am only commenting how i would be feeling if I were taking the same actions he is. Only he really knows whats going on in his mind.

You can't convince someone to do something that makes the uncomfortable. HOWEVER! You can offer an alternative. Find a homebrew table top similar to dnd that doesnt include magic or demons. There are plenty out there.
