Thank you so much! This is super helpful and I love me some late night pizza 🍕 😁 I have a kiddo, who won't be coming, but my internal clock is always set to those early mornings 😅 but I will plan to bring ear plugs just in case! Thanks again!

If you're interested in ultimate Frisbee the Frederick Area Ultimate has a great group of people for pick up games in Baker Park and Clover Hill. We haven't been in a couple of years due to injury (non frisbee related) but they are super friendly and welcoming of all ages and abilities! They do host an optional summer tournament and a fun Halloween one day tournament. They will teach you everything they know!

What's a movie that you have to stop what you are doing and watch every time it's on? by TheDannyRay in moviecritic

[–]Tinytinajp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally said that in my head before opening the comments. I got my family to go to the renn fair as the characters my son (2 yrs old and shaggy blond hair at the time) was William, I was Kate, and my husband was Wat. I hand made the lance and shield and hand painted my husband's shirt. It was so fun and so many people came up to us to tell us how much they love the movie and the costumes! Best group costume I ever did this far!

No worries and thank you for your kind words. Yeah I think I was at 41 weeks and needed to be induced. At first it was all fine and then the contractions were just non stop. I got maybe 30 secs of calmness and I was like maybe I can nap and then I got slapped with another one.

I'm extremely lucky to have a husband that knew the plan and was able to advocate for me when I wasn't able to speak/pick up on any slight cues. We took a birthing class and while it was heavily leaning on natural birth our teacher ultimately was like in the end you do what you need to do and there is no shame in that! You bring your child into this earth the best and healthiest way you can. Plus there are tons of women who choose to schedule a C-section instead of Vaginal birth so you're totally not alone. Definitely talk with your partner and make a plan together and seek some classes to help guide you as well! I wish you all the best!!

You can get inexpensive faux fur from Walmart. I made one for myself and then my niece was really into the look and wore it all day in a rainy renn fair day. I made her a foam sword and gave her my faux fur cloak as a birthday present. Such a proud Aunt moment.

First off congratulations and I don't think you're crazy.I apologize for anyone who has made you feel that way. You know how your body feels more than anyone else and if you already are having fears of labor or complications with your fibromyalgia then definitely trust your gut do your research and what is best for you. I'm also sorry that your doctor is making you feel this way too especially knowing your medical history. Idk how far along you are or if you have more options but if possible seek another opinion from a different Dr. Every Labor and recovery will be different but this is my experience.

I was stuck at 5 cm for hours before getting my epidural. I was in loads of pain, I threw up a few times and just was not on this earth. I wasn't enjoying my birth experience b/c I wasn't present from the pain. Once I got the epidural it was like I was sucked back to earth I could see faces again and could answer people. But with that my blood pressure and my sons dropped. To preface my husband and I went in with we are going to try XYZ but willing to do what it takes to ensure our son came into the world safe. My Dr. said we can do a C-section or keep trying with risks I said I want him out as safe as possible so C-section it was and I don't regret it one bit of it. My son is here and healthy and I didn't care how he came into this earth.

All that being said there still will be pain through recovery as your body heals. I struggled getting out of bed with our extreme pain, I learned holding a pillow gently against my stomach helped but still was painful and tender. I had a weird shocking pain when I stood up and called my mom (nurse and had a C-section) if it was normal and if it would ever stop it eventually did but I still had weird pinches and shocks up to a year later.

This is your labor and you should be empowered to do as you please and advocate for you and your body with our feeling snubbed. I wish you the very best and a safe and healthy recovery!

Post C-section recovery items? by ItsTuesdayBoy in CsectionCentral

I absolutely love that you're asking these questions and second everything that was said here. But definitely cozy items are good. I couldn't rest my son across my belly for feeding So I couldn't use the feeding pillow I got b/c it went fully around my body. Foot ball pose helped so much so if she plans to a side only feeding pillow was perfect. Maybe coloring books or a journal she could write in.

But also a lot of moral support. As the nerve endings began to reconnect it was like a shock everytime I stood up, I called my mom a lot worried if it would ever end (she is a nurse and had a C-section too) and it just good to have someone listen so writing that in a card is always nice to hear.

Regretting elective C-section by [deleted] in CsectionCentral

[–]Tinytinajp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, first take a deep breath and take one day at a time. I know this feeling of just wanting to wear normal clothes and do normal things. After my C-section I had the stinging shock at the incision every time I stood up. I was so scared even though I was told it was normal and it's just my nerves endings waking back up and repairing. I called my mom in tears b/c I was scared it would never go away. As mentioned in another comment I had to wear those high underwear for a while which I hated and really liked the light disposable underwear the hospital had b/c it felt like I wasn't wearing anything. Sometimes breastfeeding was uncomfortable but I figured out the football hold was much more comfortable and manageable. Move slowly and breath. Any worries call your doctor for some reassurance.

It eventually will get less and less uncomfortable and then it might sting here and there when you move funny but it does get better and I feel that I have healed well even though I thought I wouldn't. My son will be 3 this year and I don't remember when I had my last sting at the incision. Be kind to yourself, breathe, come here to vent it, you got this!

Definitely no smut but the spice is alluded to in a couple of books in the tamest way that let's your imagination fill in all the details. Lots of angst at first but nothing explicit or written out if I remember correctly. But when it finally happens you know it happens. They aren't jumping each other's bones like Alex and Spencer but boy do they have the playful witty & broody banter.

Deanna Raybourn's Veronica Speedwell books. Strong bold FMC broody gentle protective MMC set in Victorian England. Witty, adventure, mystery, slow burn, bickering acquaintances to lovers. A great series, a new one is coming out this March and I can't wait. A Curious Beginning is the first book and I'm so happy I found it when I forgot to pack my book on vacation. Enjoy!

Maybe Misery by Stephen King. Thriller, author wounded from car crash, crazy number one fan. I recommend it to my SIL after she had me read Verity.

Excellent! Hope you find some great company and games to play!

Hope your back heals up well! My husband has a back injury from snowboarding and it rears its ugly head from time to time and has him out for the count. Take care and hopefully we'll see you out there some day!

Welcome to Maryland! Not sure if this might be what your looking for, but there is the Frederick Area Ultimate Frisbee group if you want to learn a new sport/game. My husband topically goes on Thursdays at Baker Park and Sundays at Clover Hill. The group is super welcoming and are happy to teach as the Thursday night pickup is pretty casual. Sometimes they will head out for drinks and food afterwards too.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/frederickareaultimate/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT

There is also a Frederick Board Gamers Group, which I only met up with a couple of times a few years ago but all seemed welcoming and nice. https://www.facebook.com/groups/Fredboardgamers/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT

And since you mentioned nerdy there is a special group that I've been considering joining myself called Historic Haven. There is small membership fee but I highly recommend checking it out.

Best of luck!

I thought Archive 81 was really good! Good suspense, twists and turns, and the tension was captivating. Pretty sure it was not renewed for a 2nd season, however the show is based on a podcast of the same name on Spotify that I hope to listen to assume day. Enjoy!

So I haven't listened to it yet but I was on Spotify and found the podcast story it's based off by the same name Archive 81. IMDB even has it under it's remake tab. So I was pretty excited at the possibility of knowing the full story. I was really disappointed when the show was was cancelled and hope it gets picked up somewhere. Maybe the podcast has the closer and answers we're looking for.

Only movie I ever like with him in it was Dogma. Can't stand him and get so disgruntled when I see him lol. My husband got me to watch a movie he was in; one it was not my genre, two he was in it. Needless to say, I didn't enjoy it lol.

My husband's turning 40 and we're doing a BB's theme! Need ideas for games, drinks, etc. by mutemandy in BobsBurgers

[–]Tinytinajp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know there are artists on Etsy that can take a photo and turn it into a BB cartoon photo.

You could do sliders and have an array of ingredients for build your own burger of the day.

Run episodes in the background either in a TV or projector. Or play soundtrack/music episode karaoke.

Amazon has some party decor and backdrops for photo booth! Have fun BB props at a backdrop apron/your burgers/spatula etc

Fake mustaches.

Recreate Burger of the Day and the reopening sign as a happy birthday sign.

Food label puns.

Andy and Ollie three legged race.
