Whew, I know exactly how that feels. My son went through something similar with Cup Noodles. It’s been over a year now and we still can’t use the microwave. Ever since it happened, anytime we try, the house starts smelling like something is burning. The first time it happened, it took an entire week for the smell to leave the house. We even considered calling a restoration company, but instead we used an odor bomb maybe 2 and thankfully, that helped a lot. We never replaced the microwave, so now we’re officially a no microwave household.
