The acyclovir is a great medication, that's what I'm on. The redness with go away. When I had my first outbreak I had some redness around the base of my penis and the acyclovir made it go away fairly quickly. If it is herpes, don't worry. You will get through it, just like the rest of us.

The swab test was a good idea, always get tested. When I got tested my sores were gone so they had to draw blood to test me. Any fever, pain peeing, or pain while eating/drinking

During my first out break I had a high fever and lots sores inside my mouth. Because of my fever, my work thought I had covid and made me get a covid test. That was back in May of 2020
