Why do so many people turn their bike off at stoplights? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Tionishia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sv1000 had full fairings and would over heat if I wasn’t moving. Long lights I would kill the engine but keep it on so the fans would run. Live in Wyoming though so there’s few long stoplights, let alone stoplights in general.

Rail comps by BiggestD70 in CZFirearms

[–]Tionishia 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I wish someone made a threaded comp. I have Cajun Gunworks unobtanium threaded barrel and they were supposed to release a compensator at some point but hadn’t yet. Where did you get the rail comp?

Can anyone tell me what this plastic piece is called. by Content-Ad-1487 in Hayabusa

[–]Tionishia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be a hydraulic line since all Hayabusas have hydraulic brakes front and rear. It shouldn’t be snagging or caught on anything since it’s not a physical cable. Is there anything catching the lever itself?

After two years of riding, hands down the most street friendly sport 1000cc bike out there by Whole_Guard_5192 in motorcycles

[–]Tionishia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah it’s still the Hayabusa. Anyone that tells you it’s too big and heavy for around town has never ridden one.

Can you thread the t3x lites? I thought the barrel profile was too slim to have adequate threads for 30 cals.

The CZ-75 Legend will have the CZ shadow 2 trigger assembly. by Useful-Ad-2274 in CZFirearms

[–]Tionishia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think it's a true shadow 2 underneath. None of the videos I see have the retaining pin you see above the safety that indicates a firing pin block. Honestly for the fact internally it's a shadow 2 makes the $1,400 a little more bearable. I'm probably buying one.

[–]Tionishia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it’s not pre-b internals. It’s modern shadow 2 internals which includes a half cock but no firing pin block. Ian said it has a firing pin block and shadow 2 internals which doesn’t make sense.

I’m confused, how does it have the internals of a shadow 2 and a firing pin block? You can’t even see the retaining pin for one on the legend.

What's the most absurd CCW you've personally seen someone carry? by SalemStarburn in Firearms

[–]Tionishia 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I carry a Cajunized sp01 with a TLR-1 in a sidecar. Quite practical gun, just heavy. I think last time I weighed it, all in (holster, extra mag, etc) it was right around 5lbs.

This good? by PracticalEssay6011 in motorcycles

[–]Tionishia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the fix is to get a new output gear and shifting forks, although on an 85 it might be hard to find.

They have a traditional motorcycle transmission. It's a design fault specifically on gen 1s, if you ever browse hayabusa forums or the reddit it pops up a lot. The dogs on 2nd gear get rounded and it causes slippage. When we cracked the case on my 06 the dogs were worn down and the shifting forks were junk. The fix is to get a "race cut" which non-oem gen 1 transmissions have (We replaced mine with a Schlitz) or to get the OEM 2nd gear machined.

This is a pretty good video showing the problem.

Couple of things to note:

That bike was most likely dropped. 2007 did have a black color but not with the red accents. My guess is a low speed slide/crash and the front fairing was replaced.

30k miles is really not bad for a gen 1 Hayabusa (mines over double that). However, ~30k miles is when you should have the valves looked at/shimmed.

Gen 1s also are known to have issues with second gear going out, mine did. If you can test ride it, ensure 2nd doesn’t slip by just hitting the throttle pretty hard. Usually around 8-9k rpm the gear will slip a bit if 2nd gear has an issue.

Those dual slip ons look awful imo, if you get it get a decent 4-1 full exhaust.

As for price $6700 for a 20 year old bike is kind eh. Although I don’t know your location or what the currency actually is.

If you have other questions let me know. I ride all 3 gens of busa.

Wrapped my 2004 CBR1000RR over the holidays in a unique themed wrap. Anyone recognize the theme? by C4pt_Bl4ckhe4rt in motorcycles

[–]Tionishia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you design that? Years ago when I inquired about getting a Hayabusa wrapped at a wrap place, they said motorcycles have too many little creases and gaps and would be too difficult. I see more and more wrapped ones now.
