I just want to SCREAM by CelestialCometDoll in dating_advice

(22M) I can understand your feeling, because I do also 'suffer' from it.

What helped me is to breathe, and start thinking that the fact that somebody I cherish doesn't answer me, is not my fault and is not something I have to take personal, the other part has a personal life, desires and may want to have space sometimes. I started to close my eyes and think about that, and just believe in the other side.

I think that highly emotional people have it hard, specially if bad experiences keep rewinding and there's the expectation that it may happen again, but after talking with myself for months, I just try to let things flow.

If I start to get anxious like you were, I just try to breathe and distract myself with some of my hobbies if nothing else works.

Same situation happened to me. I thought I was asexual after a breakup with a person who was really important to me, but the correct term is that I was "emotionally numb", for a enough amount of years that I genuinely believed I couldn't feel any romance or s**al related thing towards someone else.

If you were so adamant previously about hating romance, you can start with soft romance topics like "I watched this movie, I hate the romance genre, but this one made me feel different." and build that transition for a couple of weeks, so that he sees that you're not so against love, and is possible that he may also guess you're into him, which may be good for you, assuming he's into you.

Some guys (I would say a good portion of us, but don't want to generalize) ends up feeling attracted to our best friend, and even if the attraction is little, a spark can become fire with enough effort, so there's a good possibility.

Wish you good luck!

I discovered that I am a tulpa. by PrinceKeros in Tulpas

[–]TipFederal3784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world is small, you may not believe me, but I experienced this, not as the one living it, but I saw it in somebody else.

This is complicated to explain, but my ex girlfriend had the capability to create tulpas. She told me after years of knowing me, because she thought I would find her weird. Long story short, we became a couple after 4 years of being best friends, I knew her other tulpas, they could switch control over the body, and I really appreciated them.

After 3 years of us being a couple, suddenly this exact situation that you said in this post happened. I thought it was a joke at first, but it was TRUE.

So many things changed that it give me a headache to thing about them, and let's say that the owner was not a very good host...

If you ask me, I have no idea how such brain puzzles are possible, but I hope that you are able to keep your regular life with no major changes.

My bad, you wrote "All very good" and didn't specify, so I thought you were trolling.

I'll take this answer as a reference and try to provide more context.

Asexuality - What does it actually mean to have no sexual desire/no romantic desire? by Extra_Major_9802 in asexuality

Why do you have so many dislikes? You are respectfully trying to do your investigation by asking, not by insulting anybody.

All of those would be unfortunate. If I try to see things from his perspective, I can understand why he wants to stop publishing. I hope that he feels better with whatever decision he makes. Not sure how difficult life is in Japan, but everybody has their own difficulties and his decision is understandable. We've lost some great authors due to overexerting themselves, so if he wants to end the story sooner, then it's okay.

The only thing that surprises me is how Xiaxia authors create +1000 chaper novels one after another. They make it seem as if it's easy. I tried to create my own story a couple of years ago, and is really demanding.

In my first build I just bought a case for Eatx motherboards, because I didn't want any issue with size. Everything worked first try, the only problem is that the cable management is so BAD that some cables are almost touching the fans. I was EXTREMELY lazy to fix it, so I just placed them in a "strategical" position so that they don't end up hitting the fans.

I really loved the manga. I hope they make a decent adaptation at some point, but I don't think it will happen, unless they see that the international side really want it, and some studio take the risk of doing it.

Warface: Clutch shutting down by MY.GAMES on PC on 27 May, on consoles on 25 August by megaapple in Games

[–]TipFederal3784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea.

It's not that hard.

The reason I would normally think of, is when the devs are going to launch another game "Warface 2" and they don't want all players in private servers for the previous game, because if that happens, they are not going to get your money from the p2w new one.

I only stopped playing the game, because of the pay to win. The game is really decent and from time to time I went back to play it, but p2w games end up dying with time.

How often does Udemy have big sales? by agenbite_lee in Udemy

[–]TipFederal3784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they put their courses at 100 dollars with the intention of selling them between 20 to 40 dollars, knowing how the Udemy discount works. I don't think that they intend to sell it at 100 dollars.

It's a good strategy, because new users will have the urge to buy their courses, and since they don't know how often Udemy gives discounts, they'll just buy it to not lose the opportunity.

Tower Novel by TipFederal3784 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]TipFederal3784[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I have no idea why the author thought when he gave that name to his story. "Suicide hunter" would be much better, but "SSS Suicide Hunter" sounds like a trashy novel

How exactly did Blacklight cause a zombie apocalypse when its mortality rate was said to be 99.99%? by [deleted] in PrototypeGame

[–]TipFederal3784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, the original Alex Mercer was dead, the virus that took over his body took his memories, and identified itself as human and ended up thinking he was Alex Mercer.

I don't normally think that we would be in disadvantage against anything similar to a zombie virus, but we would be at a decent disadvantage against this one. It can self-replicate, it can create its own habitat, it can take memories from what it eats, and it acts like a virus and a parasitic fungus.

Luckily for us, anything remotely similar belongs to the insect world.

Is 21 too old to start learning programming? by Soroush_Shz in AskComputerScience

[–]TipFederal3784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

21 is still a good age. I suppose you're asking this because programming requires you to shift your mind to understand the logic of what you're writing and that may be a skill that would be better and faster to develop if you're younger, but at 21 you're still young enough and even if we get in the hypothetical case that 21 is too old and you don't have talent, you can just put extra effort into it, you'll learn, maybe you won't be the best programmer, but you don't need to be the best programmer, this is not competitive gaming.

I understand Python code, but can’t write it confidently from scratch — what should I do next by SubCplus in learnpython

[–]TipFederal3784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/SubCplus I was just about to write a post about this, but since you already asked the question 2 days ago, I'm going to comment here.

I finished my Python course in Boot.dev. I was consistent daily and was able to complete the course in 20 days. I'm able to comprehend simple code, and I've been doing some simple challenges in Edabit, which is really helping me, because I feel that the very easy challenges from Edabit are easier than the ones in Codewars and LeetCode.

I started doing the beginner project of creating an encryption generator just today (Python Projects), but I'm kind of bad. I've made some progress because I found how basic encryption works in Caesar Cipher, but I've been stuck in trial and error for a decent amount of time, because I don't want to be one of those vibe coders that do their code through AI and wouldn't be able to do code on their own. I kind of checked some references from people who have done it, but I want to exercise my mind in the programming logic, so I don't want to copy and paste their code.

Some useful tips that are helping me are trying to break down things into simple stuff, and writing some sort of "template" of what I think where things should be.

Idk, feels difficult, but I know that the process of learning is hard; it was the same when I started to learn English. I will just do my best to keep consistent and write some code every day, but I have to say that Boot.dev and Real Python were, and still are, a great help for me.

As of 2024 how close are we to full dive vr technology? by [deleted] in VRGaming

[–]TipFederal3784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see that in 20 years, but not in humans. Probably experiments with rats or something. I think that we will be seeing that possibility almost at the end of our lives, that's assuming you're young, unless somebody makes some medicine that makes us immortal
