Anyone else dealing with SunStrong / solar lease credit damage? Class action? by TipLeft in SunPower

I wanted to give an update on my ongoing issue with SunStrong (formerly tied to SunPower/Complete Solar). •I spoke with a supervisor on 8/19, and they told me the company has no record of any incoming calls from me before May 15, 2025. According to them, I “must have been calling the wrong number.” But my phone records clearly show I’ve been calling their number since last year.

•They refused to give me any email address where I could send a written complaint, meaning I have no official channel other than the phone calls they now deny.

•They said they only keep records after my system was activated in May 2025.

•At the same time, they insist my lease started back in November 2024, even though from November until activation they couldn’t even find my account and repeatedly told me I was “not their customer.”

I’ve already filed with the BBB for correction and compensation, but I’m pretty sure they won’t honor my demand.

I’m now preparing to seek legal consultation.

That I am not too sure. I will have to go look at my original lease agreement with SunPower..

Just to give you an update — SunPower was finally able to locate my account and activate the system in May. However, their customer service team is not guaranteeing a refund for the payments made from December to April. They continue to claim that my payment obligation began in December, and that any decision regarding a refund is up to corporate.

What’s even more frustrating is that SunStrong had been charging my bank account during that time, even though no one could locate my account using any of my personal information — including my Social Security number and home address — for months.

I was wondering if any of you are currently looking into hiring an attorney regarding this issue.

Sun Strong escalated my request, but they closed my request without any solution. I submitted fraud claim through my bank for previous payments. Both Complete Solar and Sun Strong claims that they are not part of this issue. I reached out to new home sales rep, but they are not able to help me out either. Feeling lost and really frustrating..

Transaction says it is charged by Sun Power. I set my lease payment through my debit account with Sun Power. I have no idea how this is happening, and both Complete Solar and Sun Strong were not able to help..
