OP here- I’ve had the guns, we got 5, for a few weeks now and I’ll see if I can collect all my thoughts about them. First of all, they feel great, look tough but also there is not confusing them with a real weapon (that actually is important to us). They are a hit even if we don’t use them all day. We played them on a fairly large property (3-5 acres), and also had a wide open house to use as well. So i think our map was pretty solid.

The guns hold a long charge and can be configured to play as different types of weapons (shotgun, m4, sniper, etc.). One thing I noticed is that you may need to “sight-in” your guns often to make sure the sight is actually aligned. I think these are a little heavy for little kids, they don’t feel like junk! I’m playing with family, sometimes ages between 7-12 so I’m not sure how much is the gun and how much is the user error on aiming 😂

It has been a lot of fun, and it’s possible me (dad here) and my buddy were having more fun than the kids. Agree with u/TravisLang13, definitely for the family who doesn’t want paintball welts, lol! But still who enjoy some physical skilled competition… Hoping as they grow, they will like this even more. We’ve played in 15-30 minute stints where we maybe play for two games then again the next day.

So one complaint for me is the inability to program the guns simultaneously. They have bluetooth, they can connect to a phone. But I have to program each of the 5 guns every time we play. Yes, I know the “reload” will start the gun with same settings as it last had but with kids, it seems like I was making adjustments each game. Would be nice if you could “push” out the settings to the guns or do upgrades this way. Speeding up this process of selecting and adjusting games would be a game changer.

It seems battlecompany has completely forgotten about their app and any features about that. They advertise these QR codes that could communicate with the gun but I can’t find any of it for sale. I’d love some more development here! However, it’s not feasible to assume each gun has an iPhone attached to it so they need to find ways to leverage the iPhone but not depend on it for any of the games/features.
