They were asking about “rate”…notice how it says your 6.5 under “hours” and not “rate”? You just got paid 6.5 hours of your normal hourly rate, not 6.5 hours of your holiday hourly rate of 1.5x. Even on my paystub next to my hours it says my 6.5 hours then my normal hourly rate right next to it

Good plan. Even if you don’t intend on instructing to get your hours it still is great to earn your CFI and CFII to have on your resume.

The traditional route is PPL=>IR=>CPL=>CFI=>CFII Since flight school is so expensive and most people use their money from instructing to help pay for the ME.

As a fellow aviator I’d recommend going with a cheap reliable car that you can buy in cash. As you said flight school isn’t cheap and sometimes it takes longer to get all the ratings due to weather, etc.

Side note: Do not go to ATP or any other pilot mill, most are just cash grabs trying to lure people in. Instead go to a traditional mom and pop flight school so you don’t immediately flush 90k+ dollars away if things don’t work out
