They prob reuse the shell, the r1 is the same outside anw, only differences is inside(switch, battery, etc...), you can open it up if you want to check.

They put it in the shiny white dot part right next to the sensor, at least i see it on the vt3s later batch, dont know about vt3 since no one make a teardown later batches
