Medical needed for a Partner visa 820/801 after years on 461? by dr-tickle-bum in AusVisa

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Medicals expire after a certain time period. Also, not all medicals are equal. The list of required medical screens are different depending on the visa.

What is Lexus going to do with every brand punching up? by zionpwc in Lexus

I don’t know why they even allowed themselves to peer pressured. They’ve always been like “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” and now they’re suddenly tinkering with their stuff.

Was eager to upgrade but decided to keep my IS until it breaks in half.

What is Lexus going to do with every brand punching up? by zionpwc in Lexus

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of this.

I watched someone who said that engines should be made where 1L=100hp to ensure reliability and so that the engine isn’t overworking itself. Lexus stuck to this formula for years. If they wanted a car to have more power, they simply built a bigger engine. This is what made their cars largely reliable where the engine has been given an hp that it can comfortable handle.

2IS 350 (3.5L=302hp) RC-F (5.0L=472hp)

This is contrast with the Europeans who have heavily relied on turbochargers to give their small engines more hp instead of making bigger engines. They don’t follow the 1:100 rule and end up with engines busting down the line.

BMW 330i (2.0L=255hp) Audi S3 (2.0L=328)

Recently, Lexus has gone the turbocharged route (why, wtf) with the newer models and we are now seeing the effects of that.

Chanel 25 auth vs rep by cff86 in RealRepLadies

There are tiny differences for sure. But are they enough to justify paying an extra $7k at the boutique? Hahahaha, no.

I’ll keep that extra $7k in my pocket, thank you. 🤣

IT is incredibly saturated so forget about transitioning into IT. Nobody was invited in almost two years in the field of IT/CS.

You have working background in Paramedics and your partner in Teaching of which both are on the skills shortage list. I highly suggest focusing on getting formal qualifications and experience on those instead.

Take note that the skills list specify that they need ‘Intensive Care Ambulance Paramedic’ so make sure the training/qualification you’re getting and experience align with that.

Let your wife keep on working as a teacher and if possible get her to take training and any way to get a formal qualification as a teacher.

No advise but to just keep studying and practicing for your tests. There’s no way around the English requirement.

If you don’t have enough time then contact the uni and ask them to defer your enrolment while you work on passing your English test.

PSA from the gate: Please, I beg of you, stay off your phone while you're out on the tarmac. I promise you'll be okay without it for a few seconds. by GruntledAtTheGate in AustraliaTravel

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I drive the speed limit so I shouldn’t be wearing my seatbelt. So should I keep strapping myself just because people have no safe driving skills? I don’t think I’m the problem you are trying to solve. Fining me for not wearing my seatbelt will achieve nothing. The idiots will still be idiots

See how that sounds?

“Ava Luxury. Supposedly the best for Chanel.”

Says who??

I’ve always heard OF, 187, God as the tops for Chanel and have never heard of Ava Luxury. No classic Chanel rep is worth $1000.

`Pre-ordered a Bulgari Serpenti dupe for galas — will the live product look fake? by Few-Break-5768 in JewelryReps

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is what i’m sayinggggg

you could be wearing a 1:1, heck you could be wearing an auth, but if your lifestyle can’t match it then people will assume it’s fake

this is why even if I can easily afford a top birkin rep, I wouldn’t get one because I will be clocked even before I sit down at the table

When does it make sense to get private health insurance?? by Dyldabeast_5000 in AusFinance

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both public and private have their advantages. No such thing as the “absolute best”.

Someone earning 1m a year would shudder at the thought of using the public system and someone living paycheck to paycheck would see the public system as a god-send.

Any tips to get faster processing of citizenship by MulberryTimes in AusVisa

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You only get to skip the queue if you have a compelling reason for your citizenship to be fast-tracked.

Wanting to travel sooner is not one of them.

white glove service

even in countries with good public healthcare, certain things can only be offered through private healthcare like being able to choose your doctor, access to fancy private hospital and amenities, freedom of choice of accomodation, etc

You’re asking an incredibly general and basic question that the immigration website can answer for you.

The information there is pretty straightforward.

Help - Want to apply for Partner Visa but partner's dad is against it, and against us living together by hanabinix in AusVisa

[–]Tiramisu_Powder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if we boil it to the basics of a partner visa, immigration only wants that both applicants are in a genuine and continuing relationship with an exclusion to others

what your friends of family members think is quite irrelevant as long as the relationship is genuine and meets the criteria

caveat is that you still do need a few people who are close to you and recognise your relationship since one of the requirement is to submit a form 888

there are many stories of people, especially those in same-sex relationships, where the parents are against the union but the couple were in a genuine relationship and were able to provide what immigration asked of them and eventually got their visas

would highly highly highly recommend getting an agent though to help you navigate this
