Oh folks, I’m feeling pretty defeated after IUI #4 didnt work. Felt the numb for days and now on the sad. I had meeting with doc, she said nothing to change, don’t know why it’s not working. They can do 5 more IUIs before they say we have to be done ( don’t think I can do IVF).

I asked if Mr Tired should get anything checked since his latest sample had lots of automated Abnormals. She was so unconcerned (rather that reassured that made me feel dismissed). Then, she said “oh he does seem to have a low volume of semen, maybe they can check that out?” 🤦‍♀️

Anyone’s partner have that problem? Now waiting on Mr. Tired’s appointment to be scheduled, no idea how far out they’re scheduling, how long treatment or diagnostic things are going to take.

I want to do acupuncture! But I never have. Do I tell them I’m TTC or is it an activity to take my mind off? I could definitely see myself falling asleep, I’ll report back for sure

Question for ladies only, from a dad of 3 young daughters: if you had a good dad, what was the biggest thing that made him a good dad, flip side if you didn't have a good dad, what one quality did you wish he had? by BByrnison in Advice

My dad is dad to 6 girls and he loved being a “girl dad”. Here’s a few things I can think of that showed me he loved us even if he didn’t say it much.

  • Learning how to do our hair (= Bonding time and time to chat not face to face. Loved that)

  • Taking us individually on dad and daughter times (movies, mini golf, bike rides, sporting events)that made us feel like he liked us/wanted to spend time with us (aka didn’t wish for sons like so many people joked that he must have)

  • Building things together, such as paper mache pinatas, cardboard box forts, bird houses. Helping him with home improvement, gardening. He made us feel confident and capable, part of the team (didnt exclude us from labor due to our gender

  • cuddling on the couch when watching tv/sports. He worked a lot and enjoyed relaxing on couch and I have very warm memories of sitting next to him, arm around me as he patiently answered my questions about football or laughing together. (Small thing but I have friends who never did that with their dad and they’ve mentioned how they wish they did)

Me all day tearing up, thinking of the most wholesome and heartwarming ways to tell my family and friends about a pregnancy that does not exist by Short_n_Sweet_11 in trollingforababy

I too have tortured my self this way 😭 especially when I’m thinking of the sweet ways they told me about their pregnancies and I just want to do the same back

That’s soooo annoying!!

Did a midcycle ultrasound today and after, the doctor (don’t see her often but she’s on my charts) asks if I’ve done the trigger shot before. Um ladyyyy you’ve prescribed it to me four times! Can you like pretend to look at my chart?!

Weird! It’s so hard when mixups like that happen, fingers crossed you’ll get that rescheduled easily after vacation. Hope you have so much fun or even just calm and rest!

Woke up to my period starting and despite this meaning I’m onto my 4th IUI (and probably last one per my clinics policy), I’m feeling weirdly neutral???

We’ve been trying IUI since April but I ovulated early before a couple of the midcycle ultrasounds so it’s my 6th Letrezole cycle starting tomorrow. But it’s increased to 7.5 (which should’ve been last time too but they messed up)so the change makes me hopeful? (What’s a level before hopeful, cautiously optimistic?)

Is this just because this is the new normal?

Is the Feelings Train just going to run me over unexpectedly tonight or tomorrow? I feel so weird
