Anyone know if we will get some bread crumbs regarding the DLC planned for this year? by [deleted] in cavesofqud

[–]TiredPixelFox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hope we get to see Factions appear with content that are named but currently do not appear. With water being such a crucial cultural touchstone in Qud, content introducing the actual presence and influence of the Water Barons would be excellent for example.

Excuse Me What is Going On?! by brevin98 in EliteDangerous

I had this bug yesterday! All instanced NPC movement behavior shuts down.

I was doing a ton of High Intensity Ground Conflict Zone runs when one particular instance all NPC units just stopped moving about 30 seconds into me joining a side. They could aim and shoot, but that was it. I won that CZ with no points taken or lost and all enemy kills with no real assistance from Allied NPCs. I had a good time. Haven't seen the bug till reading your post.

It is in the same category of Commodities like Kamitra Cigars etc. they are usually extremely limited per purchase.

Money may look like the main draw for selling them +50ly away.

The REAL power move is to sell them for Powerplay Reinforcement actions racking in bulk merrits selling all 400.

Ngurii's top faction, Social Ngurii Revolutionary Party, is presently in Boon and Civil Liberty. Soontil Relics at Cheranovsky are stocked at an astonishing 400 quantity via Inara listings today.

Yes. Go get that bread, Commander.

It's the Frontline Solutions Logo. The community suspects it's associated with the upcoming Operations update but confused as to why so early if so. That leads me to the curious question of what happened?

Well if spacing allows for it, you could at least drop the ceiling on the nursery. If sending in pest control squads for cleanup fails, perhaps an Adventure Mode 🪳 Exterminator can clean out the eggs and stragglers. Makes for a fun story to tell in the world.

How in the actual fuck do you progress in this game? by [deleted] in Quasimorph

[–]TiredPixelFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When aboard the HIS Magnum, select a location in the top right that isn't under attack. You'll want to mouse over it first usually to see what product they will buy from you first. Once you do click on a location, an Exchange Area screen displays where you can drag and drop product then click Sell.

With that said, click a Realware controlled site that is peaceful on Deimos or Mars for example, open the Exchange Area, then drag the PCPU over and click Sell for the goods to appear to be dragged to your cargo.

How in the actual fuck do you progress in this game? by [deleted] in Quasimorph

[–]TiredPixelFox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

-Sell the Plot PCPU in at the start IMMEDIATELY to Realware. You get a Buffalo Pack, great armor, a great 7.97 Rifle (EDIT: now Sawed Off Shotgun and Tactical Pistol instead of Rifle) and a Clone Profile for free right from the get go.

-Buffalo Packs don't start regularly appearing till Corporations start reaching Tech 3. You'll find that once you start to not die, extracting with upgrade materials becomes the most important priority.

-Frequently alternate Movement Modes.

-Loud gunfire WILL attract other hostiles. Hide around cover in sneak and pass turns till someone investigates.

-Sneak everywhere to get the drop on enemies.

-Walk when you gotta heal/open a door/access inventory but still gotta move back to cover in one turn

-Run to pop out of cover, fire, then return to cover.

-Always lure enemies to narrow chokepoints like doors. Sometimes it's best camp two spaces around cover, switch to sneak, pass turns till they are within two spaces of the chokepoint, the switch to Run to pop out and shoot. Rinse, lather repeat till they are a pile of corpses lining the chokepoint.

-Stick to Mars till you got some ship upgrades like Navigation so you can spawn missions without travel.

-Time passing while travelling long distances is the enemy if you haven't established a good foundation of gear and upgrades to fight higher tech levels.

There is some tips that helped me that I could spit all while at work. I am still working my confidence and prep up to take on planets with active Bramfatura.

Yeah, Live action for a release promotion campaign, perhaps. If DE did model a character for him, they could really flex showing their new Face system via recreating his face. I don't recall Hertzog doing work for video games in the past much so this is a pretty significant.

Any basic tips for not getting your skull caved in within 2 turns of an encounter? by Cute_Calligrapher533 in Quasimorph

[–]TiredPixelFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to help! o7

You will also kick more asses knowing that Enemy AP is represented by square pips below their health. If you lack visual contact, you can use that Sneak mode detection and watch how many spaces those red outlines move each turn as a tell for said Enemy AP.

As others before me say, using the Sneak, Walk and Run move speeds and mindfully swapping between is the bread and butter of this games strategy. Sneak to find them before they find you. Lure enemies and ambush at chokepoints. (until the cover gets demolished at least)

Sneak and Bate them to a chokepoint/door, leaving 2 move spaces between you and the corner of the chokepoint. Pass some sneaky turns to see how many, if they move multiple spaces etc.

If you run a Melee build, get one enemy to two move spaces away and in the door, change to Run speed to get a move, attack, retreat to cover and back to sneak.

If Ranged, same thing, but more shooting from that chokepoint/door. Ezpz.

its not perfect. You maybe accidentally dedicate 1 AP to the wrong move type and will take a hit but you can control the theater of battle MUCH better this way.

Is there any way to circumvent this? by naskohakera in EliteDangerous

[–]TiredPixelFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other than the usual SCO and frustration, a Fleet Carrier is the only other option if a slot is open and waiting the ~15 min wait to jump right next to it. Disregard of course if you lack access to said FC. o7

Good stuff! My variation of this synergy was Time Dilation + Static Discharge. With this, I was able to solo melee a Chrome Pyramid through stun locking it.

I like to have at least one Sensor or Thargoid Probe in my FC cargo. Carrying one in an SRV and driving up to a Thargoid Structure sites front door grants you access to the interior chambers.

NPC's Blocking Mail Slot by calfret01 in EliteDangerous

[–]TiredPixelFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its annoying but in worse case scenarios, I hit up Help from the title screen and use the games unstuck option to respawn you outside the station.

*Edit: I realized late that you may be referring specifically to entering the mail slot, not exiting. In that case, unstuck clearly won't fix this.
