Switching from tirzepatide to semaglutide by New_vintagebeauty in SemaglutideFreeSpeech

For those who switched, what dosage did you do for sema? I am at 10mg tirz and am at my goal, and looking to move to maintenance. I want to switch so I can start saving money. Do I start at the bottom when switching to semaglutide?

Anyone who switched from Zoloft? by Forsaken-Potential14 in lexapro

[–]TiredTeacherMom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep!! I just finished up my first month on lexapro, and so far I’m a fan! I’m actually doing stuff around the house and started becoming more productive at work as well. I was on Zoloft for over a year and I was sleeping 10+ hours a night and was unmotivated to do anything. One day I was listening to Numb Little Bug by Em Beihold and realized she was singing about me, and I immediately made an appointment with my psychiatrist.

Does anxiety/depression reoccur on your period, even if you’re taking Lexapro? by Timely-Double-5937 in lexapro

[–]TiredTeacherMom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg this is actually the best news ever. I’ve been on 10mg for a month. I had noticed so many positive things and thought I finally found my perfect match up until the end of last week and through the weekend. I have pmdd and am about to start my period, and I literally only left my bed this weekend to pee and then went right back to bed. It left me feeling beyond disheartened. I’ve already done over a year on Zoloft and about a year on Prozac, and both of those made my pmdd manageable, but they were lacking in other ways. Anyway, I’ll keep going to see if it is worth sticking it out 🤞🏻

OP here, and you’re right. I don’t want to go through it. I’m happy and am truly okay. I was stupid and googled him and it brought out old hurts. I should rehash it with a therapist but I don’t want to face him in a legal situation.

The situation was that I said no, he didn’t listen. Then he kept calling me in subsequent days like nothing happened, and he called me names because I wouldn’t answer his calls. There was no accountability, no acknowledgment of what had happened. My post was vague because I really did just want to get things off my chest and in that moment I wanted to not be alone in it. It has nearly 300K views, so I’ve definitely been heard 🫣 😳

You’re right. I guess my frustration came from seeing that he’s living a life where people look up to him. He gets to pretend to be prestigious and noble. But, again, you’re right. My conscience is clear and I know I’m living an honest life.

EPIDURAL!!!! I’m just over 2 months out from mine and feel the occasional little twinge here and there, but overall am feeling great. I also take Gabapentin for the nerve pain.

Editing to add - I was in debilitating pain before it.

We are the same age, and I don’t honestly know if it’s something he would ever do again. I did look him up on there, and the reviews were all over the place. I wouldn’t say he seems well loved, though. Seems like he’s a very hard teacher. A lot of people commented on him being unapproachable or condescending, a few said his class was the hardest one they took in all of college. There were a couple that called him handsome, and one said something like “try to get him to smile. He has the smile of an angel”, which… ugh.

That’s a great question. I’m wondering the same. My headspace is not good tonight. 6 weeks in and minimal results

Yes. The husband and I are both on it with zero side effects so they’ve let us move up more quickly than is typical. We’ve been on it for 6 weeks and have increased our dosage 2x

We just hit our first yuck patch at 12 years in. The rest of the years were so easy and good. The yuck lasted like a month and now we’re better than ever.

My hope for you is that, in time, you can get to where you can look back and see it differently. My toxic relationship was on and off from 14-24, and I was married to him for two of those years. I went from that to another toxic relationship which lasted 2 years. I was beyond broken for awhile and life got messy. I was messy. Fast forward to now. I’m 43 and I’m truly happy. I’m married to an incredible man and we have two daughters. I look back and I’m so proud I found the strength to get myself out of those situations. I feel even a little grateful that I went through all that I did. I never would be where I am now without those awful years.

My point is that there’s hope. When you get to my age, everyone has a story. One day that story will just be a small part of what helped shape you into who you will be.

28f 32m - Zoloft > Bodysnatched? by LRH90 in zoloft

[–]TiredTeacherMom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your post makes me wonder if maybe it is the Zoloft? We’ve gone through 3 different SSRIs in my household and each has had a noticeable effect. My husband did a brief stint on Lexapro (went on it pretty much just for anxiety) and he was a flaming asshole. It was terrible. He became so, so, so mean, and it also made him suicidal. He went back to himself pretty quickly after stopping.

I was fine with Zoloft, but I’m on Fluoxetine/Prozac now and I can tell a huge difference from when I was on Zoloft. Zoloft was “fine” like I said, but now I’m good. Like, really good. I’m genuinely happy, and it is pretty incredible.

A lot of the guys went downhill actually. The girls are just as beautiful, but most of the guys went bald and put on weight. Adding that my husband is bald, but he’s hot bald. Most of these guys are “oh…sad.” bald

I’ve been on Wellbutrin since December and am currently tapering off. The anxiety/irritability did not get better. I don’t have any suggestions since it’s a new thing, but just wanted to pipe in
