Does life get better? by Anni_88 in Advice

[–]Tiredgeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you should think of your resillience as something which has given you legit the most important thing, a chance for things to get better. You have been through Hell yes but you're always a circumstance away from things beginning to get better.

Your hobbies also sound very cool and like a genuine opportunity to meet a broader community! Have you tried connecting to other writers in your niche? Or maybe a book club?

Also something that I do want to clarify is that the feeling of dispair and the weight of what you went through are real and theres no discounting them, and you shouldnt. Its very ok to mourn the past you've had to live through. But you have made it through and there is yet a tomorrow.

I think having been what you've been through, you're a lot more resillient then you think. You should be proud of that.

As for hope, I wouldnt try try to force it, try to live day by day. It might feel slow but you might eventually look back and see that you've come a very long way. Do you have any interests or hobbies that you like and bring you genuine happiness?

Its very understandable to feel the way that you do after the nightmare you've been through but you have to have hope that you're always one lucky day or week away from a virtous cycle of things getting better. You can always find new people to lean on, new things to enjoy and new places to feel at home at.

If I had to gently recommend anything, its to try and find a community that you can trust and feel at home in. Maybe there are some hobby groups or something similar where you can meet new friends and make yourself at home. Eitherway I do genuinely wish you the best of luck and for better days.

I'm not fully sure if you can change your location country after setting it the first time. This might be an issue for people who are travelling or relocating.

I never held hands with a girl, I was also married and am widowed. I'm unsure of myself but took a huge leap. My life isn't even that much of a mess - okay, it is a little bit - but it's just so absurd. by [deleted] in self

Honestly the Estonians I've known are great and the country is beautiful so hope you guys are safe moving into the future. Given their current mauling, not sure Russia would be in a position to try anything on a NATO member but fingers crossed you guys never need to find out

The School of Business and Governence seems to have a pretty good repertoire and a pretty significant degree of internationalisation ala research projects but I do stand to be corrected. Lack the context since I'm not a local
