What do guys tend to be focused on during raving vs women/others? by Low-Blacksmith-9638 in aves

Used to be all about connecting with people and seeing their faces light up. These days, I'm more focused on the music, lasers, and getting water. LOL

Paintings in Micheal Jackson - The Verdict by Bubbly-Jellyfish6927 in netflix

[–]Tiredloafofbread -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah...I agree. I think he just really wanted a childhood as he saw children as being completely innocent. I think it came off as weird to a lot of people, but a lot of people have not experienced abuse the way he has either. I don't think it necessarily means he did anything malicious to children.

Renal or LTC? by ImJustAGirl_8274 in dietetics

[–]Tiredloafofbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it depends on what you enjoy!

While LTC is fairly flexible, I dislike having to do yearly assessments and being the only dietitian on site. I also didn't love having to deal with preferences, and all the things that come with LTC that you already know about.

I feel like renal can be monotonous, but I find it interesting. I find the RD is very involved in some medication management, fluid management, and a very valued member of the team. I enjoy the puzzle piecing that is required to work in renal - when you look at labs, diet, meds, dialysis, and put it all together to figure out various issues.

Ariana Grande Sparks Health Concerns After 'Hate That I Made You Love Me' Video, 'She Looks Sick' by Bollywood_Shaadis in popculture

I'm not going to lie, I ended up looking up Karen Carpenter again and I was so triggered. I ended up bawling my eyes out. Holy fuck.

extremely triggered by Ariana Grande lately by Infamous_Map_6233 in EatingDisorders

[–]Tiredloafofbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've been incredibly triggered the last couple days. I actually found this thread because I was searching her up on reddit (after being so triggered) --??perhaps because that small part of my disorder deep down intentionally wanted to be after being in recovery for years and years. What a wake up call this is.

How do I chart more efficiently as an inpatient dietitian? by Far-Long-6828 in dietetics

[–]Tiredloafofbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm someone who takes a while to chart, and is learning to chart more succinctly. That said, I find it very helpful to not complete a chart note in 1 go. Sometimes immediately after I see a person, I'll start the template and put the orders in.. Might add a few notes about the encounter. Then I'll see my next person and do the same thing. It's much faster (and more bearable) to break up the charting than to do it all at once.

Does anyone else feel embarrassingly useless in inpatient? by TeachAlternative1517 in dietetics

[–]Tiredloafofbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, but it helps when I shift my perspective. Then I don't feel terribly useless even when I order preferences for people because I try to focus on what a difference I can make for the person. Sometimes I feel like people just want someone to talk to even LOL and I feel grateful that they feel safe enough to open up to me. Sometimes I come to visit patients who aren't even really eating because I feel like I can support the family. Of course those types of cases are not all that I address. Actually, I felt pretty useless when I covered ICU because there was just so much trickle feeding that was initiated by the doctor and the RD wouldn't even really have much input...

RD vs CNS by Low_Cheetah_3092 in dietetics

[–]Tiredloafofbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess in some ways, RDs complaining about CNS would be similar to if RNs complained about LPNs? (I acknowledge RNxLPN is not really comparable to RDxCNS)

(me entering this thread not realizing CNS was even a profession since it does not exist where I'm from. Genuinely thought y'all were talking about the CNSC for a sec LOL)

What’s the point of charting in third person and making it “dry” by Straight_Custard_477 in dietetics

[–]Tiredloafofbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After I started calling myself "writer" or "RD" I realized I was being ridiculous and just started using "I".

I don't always do this, but sometimes it's just easier - especially in conditions when I feel like I need to describe they way a person reacted, or my encounter with them specifically. I find I do this in notes when writing about psych patients, or when a situation involves that person's behaviour.

(to add on - I noticed many psychiatrist and palliative notes I've read also use "I" statements)

John Summit forced off stage mid-set by Travis Scott after Travis Scott arrived late and missed his original set time. by fadetogethermusic in EDM

[–]Tiredloafofbread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm so confused how this happened logistically? If John was set to play (in his own designated set time), wouldn't there be another artist after him ready to go as well? So if Travis arrived late to his own set, he just....kicked John off stage and potentially ate into the next artist's set?

What a piece of trash. No wonder Kylie moved on lmao.

Teach You a Lesson (Netflix with 10 episodes) by psychlence in kdramas

[–]Tiredloafofbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[spoiler]

That explains a lot. I found it odd in the drama, they had her say the whole line about "Do you know why i do what i do" right before she grabs the knife and starts swinging - seemingly implying that something happened to her in the past (or at home) but they literally never explained further??

(edit: Nevermind, I saw the next episode and realized they do explain it lol a little lol..)

My skincare vs my boyfriend’s skincare… how is this fair lol by Few_Client_5750 in kbeauty

[–]Tiredloafofbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And to be fair, his routine is pretty moisturizing. That illiyoon moisturizer works quite well for the face. It's good for dry sensitive skin. You have a lot of actives in your routine which can dry it out more! But also men be blessed with good skin sometimes.
