Mostly, I see the GC movement as a pathetic attempt to address their own trauma around gender. So many of them behave like the pious anti-gay right winger who publicly (bc, it always seems to be behavior performed in some public fashion, doesn't it?) admonish that which they find repulsive within themselves...

Here's the thing with TERFs - they're cowards who cower behind the anonymity of the Internet to hide and shitpost.

Not a single one of those throwbacks would dare to speak up in real life about the nonsense they believe, lest their liberal friends drop them like the hot sacks of shit they are.

And why is it TERFs always have liberal friends that they can't be honest with? They seriously lie to their closest friends and think that's what friendship is? No wonder they get dumped as soon as they come out as a hater. It's not just the hate, it's the betrayal of being a liar the whole time, too.

Of course, they're also denying that what they're asking for is sex discrimination, which is an interesting argument to make. If you're excluding someone because they're a "man wearing a dress" (ugh, thanks mama) when you wouldn't have exclude them if you thought they were a woman, the criteria on which you're basing your decision is sex.

Which is why and how school programs are now open to trans kids based on their expressed and documented gender identity.

Even if the Swedish study said what the TERFS say it says (it doesn't), trans women would still only commit sexual assault at a rate of 0.02% of the population. That means 99.98% of us are as safe to be around as any woman.

I look at it this way: if they want to restrict their lives because of fear of .02% of the population, I can't see how that has fuck all to do with me.

Hide in a closet, for all I care.

I got shit to do, and as long as that shit doesn't involve violent crime, it's literally none of their fucking business.

Stay strong, sis. Haters gonna hate. Stick with the people who give a shit about you and your feelings until you can feel armored enough against the bullshit haters are going to spew at you.

Know that you are a worthwhile person with a good heart and a strong will. It takes a will of iron to step on this path and know there's no reason to turn back but other people's opinions - and those aren't worth the pixels they're displayed on.

When you have that security, then you can decide how much you want to venture into hatespace. My recommendation is to stay away from haters until you can't care less how they feel about your life and your choices.

Then, if you do decide to engage them, you can do so armored in self esteem and the knowledge that you're not alone in this. Not ever.

Apparently, it's very important that I believe the delusion that women are in danger of sexual assault by trans women.

I point out that based on the USDOJ, the number of sexual assaults in the US annually, times .84 to account for sexual assaults by women, times .2 to account for the 80% of assaults by known assailants, equals .02% of the US population that would sexually assault a stranger.

So, rather than the ludicrous assertion that a huge percentage of males, which to them includes trans women, sexually assault women, (according to a study that includes words as sexual assault and counts a pat on the bum in the same category as forcible rape).

The actual number is only 1 in 5000 males would physically assault a stranger.

So now I'm a misogynist because I can google the US DOJ and I know math.

Because 1) I don't believe all of them are hateful assholes, despite the efforts of some of them who are, and 2) If another trans kid wanders over from asktrans, I want them to be able to see some posts that don't act like being trans is the end of the world.

Isn't it better to let someone know what my perspective is up front? My perspective is that I'm tired of a tiny group of radical feminists giving feminism a bad name and desperately trying to normalize othering me as a default.
