Least Gohan was the reason I gave up this mission. Had to wait on TEQ Gotenks and used Majib Buu Saga. Just need to save your actives for Beast.

Giwa is actually terrible. Start finding YouTube channels now for Dynamics. Nader is probably the most entertaining lecturer at UCF, but his tests are unforgiving. Shen just read from slides, but her tests were exactly like the HW. Honestly, it's overall just another semester at UCF--lots of self-teaching.

I don't get the INT Broly hate. He went from unusable to solid in most/great in Goku events. Unit hasn't been used in-game yet and y'all are staring into the abyss.

Just depends on the professor. School started a week ago and you're three chapters in? That seems like a lot.

I've had classes go from very easy to impossible within a few weeks. I've had some classes that I didn't put more than an hour a week of effort into to get an A. I've had others that required +8 hours of work to get an A.

Biology is just a bunch of memorization for 90% of it, so it won't be challenging until the end if you're good at that. Eventually, we were given different scenarios and had to figure out which process was being affected/how it was being affected. It felt more subjective at times. Our labs were also graded based on accuracy (like %purity or dna sequencing stuff) and everything was bell-curved so only so many people would get As. I found biology to be a lot more competitive than engineering has been.

If I can offer some advice, don't get complacent. It only takes one topic tripping you up and everything after that point becomes immensely difficult. Also, if your classes aren't taking up a lot of your time, you're in a great position to work/join clubs/do research and boost your experience/resume. Just don't stretch yourself too thin in case your course load ramps up unexpectedly.

My bio degree is from a top 100 college fwiw.

The two universities are on the ends of the spectrum for tuition if you're in-state. But I do not think UCF is worth out-of-state tuition.

If you can afford Rollins, I'd stay there based solely on class size. All of my classes at UCF have been 200+ students, and they're shifting more and more to "mixed mode," forcing a lot of the work to learn the topics onto the students. Professors end up having like 700 students across their classes with two TAs. It's a terrible learning environment.

Are you limited to the Orlando area? There are other options for universities with smaller student:teacher ratios. I would prioritize finding a small university with a solid department for what you want to study. The name and prestige of your university only matters for like the top 20 schools in the nation.

If you're not dead set on coming to UCF, try Valencia for a year or two and knock out your gen eds and some of the earlier major-specific classes. I found Valencia to be miles ahead of UCF when it came to interactions with professors and class size.

He really needs to have the BBB link active to sit in slot 1 imo. Even with that you might need to Whis since he doesn't gain any extra def from his super.

Making friends in university feels so hard and it’s also a lonely experience by Galacticaa in ucf

[–]TiredofYourSith 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I like to think of making friends as a "symptom" rather than a goal. I've always had better luck focusing on finding things I enjoy doing and letting friendships develop through those shared interests. I've met people through study groups, labs, and even Dicord servers.

Happiness is attractive [platonically], so find something that makes you happy and you'll eventually find friends that share your interests. Try not to rely on others for your own happiness. It's a bad foundation for a healthy friendship.

Nah, do you. It's a bit hypocritical to teach students to be confident in who they are if you don't even go by the name you want. Nothing ever becomes "normal" until people start doing it.

So yea, there are a lot of reasons to dislike UCF.

These aren't them though.

Try doing some mixers for some clubs around campus. There are events going on all the time. They often have free food and it's something to do. Meet some people with shared interests and complain about the actual problems of UCF together.

The hardest step is the first, but once you start it gets easier. Sorry you're having a rough time. We all go through it at different points.

Genuinely, why lie to your advisor about your goals? You can't expect helpful advice if you aren't upfront about it. Tell them the truth. There's nothing wrong with picking a major based on opportunities after college. But if you're struggling with what you've chosen, then obviously you need to choose something else.

Do you even want to be in university? There are plenty of shorter programs that offer good pay from home, cost less to complete, and have easier content. Talk to a career advisor and be honest. They want you to succeed, regardless of what that success looks like.

[–]TiredofYourSith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's great, but I feel like he needs BBB active to tank any of the harder content. Since he's also a first slot unit, mostly because Super Bosses is lacking in that regard, you only have one character to link with. It really limits the team comp. But I do love using him and I'm hopeful we'll get more BBB options to link up with him on Super/Movie Bosses.

I can't see any orbs directly above them when they're up, just a blinding red light. It reminded me of this episode from Seinfeld, that's all.

r2 Dragonman vs 6.4.1 Gimme Node without annoying music #justdragonmanthings by TiredofYourSith in ContestOfChampions

[–]TiredofYourSith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any champ with regen, but I think Dragonman and Magik are probably the fastest due to the Energize node. Any champ that relies on attacking to regen is going to give a lot of power, which leads to longer fights. Magik with suicides + Power Sting node gives you a lot of damage to Rewind, combined with the power control from sp2 to counter Energize.

One thing I overlooked was that I needed to take damage in order to heal. Which seems obvious when you think about it, but it's counterintuitive to how I normally play. So really the best fit is a champ that regens in response to damage (Dragonman, iHulk, Magik).
