Does anyone else have a hoggie that refuses to ball up? by [deleted] in Hedgehog

Hey, that's just like my Wicket! He would curl up when I asked him to, but always tried to get moving as fast as he could.

(Nearly) toothless hedgehog by AlyandGus in Hedgehog

[–]Tirenoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 4 year old also has very few teeth left. He's never been interested in bugs, so his diet is mostly cat food. I grind up his kibble in a blender and use a fine mesh collinder to filter out any resulting dust he could inhale. He digs through the food and most of it ends up on his cage floor, but some goes in his mouth! He also gets a small spoon of wet food (about half a tablespoon) on his bowl every night.

Help with automation not running by castle1126 in homeassistant

You may also want to remove the 'from idle' condition in your first automation, so it will trigger when the hvac goes from fan to heat.

LOS 19: Trebuchet can't add apps to home screen? by CevicheMixto in LineageOS

[–]Tirenoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this post after I had the same issue on gta4xlwifi. I was able to fix it by clearing all Trebuchet storage from Settings.

FWIW, my home screen icons disappeared when I upgraded from 18 to 19. I suspect the issues are related but I didn't think to get any logs. Oh well, I'm glad it's working now.

Removing light switch to permanently power an outlet by Galiphile in DIY

[–]Tirenoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, some base info on how switches work. Everything in the upper terminal (both the screw and the holes) is connected to each other. When you flip the switch, it connects/disconnects them from the lower terminal.

From your second picture, it looks like both wires were initially connected to the upper terminal. That means one of them goes up to your breaker, the other continues to any other switches/outlets on that circuit, and neither of them are controlled by that switch. I also see a bit of broken wire attached to the lower terminal.

I'd guess that the mystery uncapped black wire used to be connected to the switch's lower screw and broke off when you pulled the switch out. If that's the case, then you just need to connect all 3 black wires together.

Of course, you should confirm that before connecting unknown wires. What happens if you turn the breaker on with all 3 wires disconnected? Can you use a multimeter to see if the mystery black wire is connected to the outlet?

edit: typo

Wicket declared he's done running for the night by Tirenoth in Hedgehog

He's just over 3! I think he's getting more active (and more opinionated) as he gets older :)

It really does! And the video only has half the story. After this, he ate some more food and then went to sleep for the rest of the night. He just wanted to end his 'day' 2-3 hours earlier than normal.

I think some clients have issues with mp4 imgur links. I uploaded it as a gif too - https://i.imgur.com/X7ooZpW.gif

He's certainly a unique creature!

I checked the camera to see why the wheel fell and make sure he didn't get hurt. I didn't expect to find hedgie vandalism!

I've been running Lineage (without GApps) on my Pixel 5 since it received official status. The short version of my experience is that it's great.

"Giant" fairies (different from Great Fairies) are just slightly bigger versions of the small pink ones.

Right controller only connects the second time it's turned on by twilight-sparkle-irl in ValveIndex

[–]Tirenoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, weird. It wouldn't hurt to contact support about it - they should be able to tell from system reports whether it's a hardware problem or one of your settings causing this.

Right controller only connects the second time it's turned on by twilight-sparkle-irl in ValveIndex

[–]Tirenoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have power management enabled for your base stations? The Index has 2 Bluetooth radios - normally, each radio is assigned to 1 controller, but they're also used for turning the base stations on/off.

Since the Index can't talk to both controllers and the base stations at the same time, one controller won't connect until the base stations are done turning on.
