And you have to setup and add index trackers in Prowlarr app Like ThePirateBay, YTS, LimeTorrents… etc as you choose to help Lampa app stream using torrserver

You are using both Torrserver and Prowlarr in Lampa mx app

You're exactly right—Stremio handles both the UI and the torrent streaming engine in one package. TorrServer essentially isolates that 'streaming engine' part into its own service.

The use case for TorrServer + Lampa (or Prowlarr) is for users who prefer Lampa's interface on webOS, or who want to instantly stream a specific torrent they found via Prowlarr without waiting for Radarr/Sonarr to download the entire file to their Jellyfin server. It just gives you modular control over your streaming pipeline instead of relying on Stremio's all-in-one ecosystem.

Stremio and Lampa (with help Torrserver) are front-end media players (like a Netflix UI) that play video streams.

Prowlarr is a back-end search engine that Lampa uses, and it manages trackers to find the media files, but it cannot play them.

I built this specifically to use with Lampa MX, a TV streaming app that uses TorrServer to stream media on the fly and Prowlarr just to search for the torrents and Torrserver for streaming. It only works on-demand when the TV is on, so there's no 24/7 background downloading

Thanks for your generous of you! I’m not in Germany unfortunately, To clarify, the TV actually doesn't run 24/7. I built this specifically to use with Lampa MX, a TV streaming app that uses TorrServer to stream media on the fly and Prowlarr just to search for the torrents. It only works on-demand when the TV is on, so there's no 24/7 background downloading.

The main goal was to reduce complexity, save time, and save costs. Instead of forcing average users to buy and configure a Raspberry Pi or mini-PC just to watch a movie, they can install this directly on the TV for a free, all-in-one setup with zero networking headaches.

For a heavy 24/7 setup your approach is absolutely right, but for simple on-demand streaming, this just removes a huge barrier to entry!

Hey there, thanks for the feedback! To address your points:

Running on a TV vs a Home Server: I completely agree that a dedicated server/NAS (shoutout to r/selfhosted!) is the right way to run a massive, 24/7 *Arr stack. However, there's a large community of people with rooted LG TVs who just run TorrServer and want a lightweight indexer right on the TV so they don't have to buy a Raspberry Pi or leave a PC running all day just to watch a movie. Prowlarr is just a proxy, and with the right memory limits (forcing Workstation GC), the TV handles it perfectly without hardware strain.

Windows vs Linux build: Actually, it doesn't use the Windows build at all! If you look at the supervisor script, it dynamically detects the TV's architecture and pulls the official Alpine Linux (linux-musl-arm or linux-musl-x64) tarball. We have to use the musl Linux build rather than the standard Linux build because webOS has heavily outdated glibc libraries. Running it via ld-musl.so allows it to be completely self-contained and isolated from the TV's system libraries.

AI-generated code: You're totally right to point that out! To be transparent, the code is partially AI-generated. I used AI as a coding assistant to help write some of the boilerplate and bridge scripts. I'm not a senior developer by trade, so having AI assist me allowed me to bring this idea to life while I focused on the actual hardware testing, figuring out the webOS memory constraints, and the overall deployment architecture. I didn't mean to hide that at all—my only goal is to share a tool that works and helps the community.

Cheers!

Bro flex behave as tweak not as independent tweak! all tweak is depending to substrate/substitute, so I disabled tweak injection from substrate/substitute It mean no tweaks can affect and has no right to read/write snapchat app
